>Shares of leading tech giants slid Monday on reports that antitrust regulators are taking steps that could lead to greater oversight.

>Shares of Amazon and Facebook were both down more than 3% Monday following a Washington Post report that the top U.S. antitrust enforcement agencies have a new agreement over tech oversight. The drop shaved about $28 billion and $20 billion respectively from their market caps.

>Shares of Google parent company Alphabet were down more than 6% after The Wall Street Journal reported the Justice Department is readying an antitrust investigation. The stock lost about $49 billion from its market cap, bringing it to around $720 billion.

>Antitrust regulation has remained a distant threat in recent years as scandals like Cambridge Analytica brought the scale of tech power into focus for the public. In the lead up to the 2020 presidential election, “break up big tech” has become a rallying cry for some, Democratic presidential candidate Sen. Elizabeth Warren, D-Mass.

>But a new reported agreement between the Federal Trade Commission and the Department of Justice brings that threat a bit closer to reality. The FTC will take the lead on oversight of Amazon, which the DOJ will have greater jurisdiction over Google, according to the Post. The FTC previously closed an investigation of Google without taking action, but now the DOJ will take another look into Google’s practices in search and other areas, according to the Journal.

>While Facebook was not named in the reports as a focus of the agencies’ new agreement, the move could have implications for the social networking site as well. Facebook is already under investigation by the FTC over its handling of user data and has said it is expecting a fine of up to $5 billion.

Antitrust is for the companies, criminal charges are for the executives and people responsible.

I find it hard to believe such amounts of money even exist. Im amazing that kike dealing with amounts such as billions have to gall to kvetch about people wanted $15/hr.

suck a nut

They don't exist. They exist only as a number on a computer.

Yes, this is just smokescreen to hide the real elephant in the room.

Big Tech are subversive, anti-american globalists and corrupt monopolies. Break them up.
Although they may be tumbling because the trade war with China. Amazon, Noseberg and Google? China could launch their own services; meanwhile, Amazon, Facehook and Apple can't just snap their fingers and magically produce hard, physical goods that the chink slave factories manufacture.

marketcap- price of last sold share x total number of shares
nothing more, nothing less

He's mixed? Lmao, a lot of these gay grifting "socialists" pretend to be someone that they aren't. That's why they hide their patron funds to appear like underdogs.

China launched their own services because they were aware that they could be controlled by globohomo easily. It was a very smart move for them in the long run.

The US should have created their own services to pretend the bullshit deplatforming.

Are you sure about that!?

Isnt that how we get reccesion? Claiming money that doesnt actually exist?

Money isn't real. End the FED.

>Work closely together with corrupt journos, highlighting their shitty articles on your search engine.
>They return the favor by smearing all your competing search engines as "nazi hate sites".
Seems Google is starting to slip, because smearing your competition with false allegations like that is most definitely illegal in the EU, don't know about burgerland though.

All those NGOs pulling the strings at Google are about to lose all their power of influence. By trying to hold onto power with increased censorship they shot themselves in the foot.

>no twitter investigation
Damn shame

Probably to hide some of their money

Twitter is a cesspool but so far it has made no attempts to datamine your personal information, nor has it attempted to openly smear its closest competition.

How? I already don't use anything they own. How can I play my part?

Thank God.

Just send your energy towards Google's collapse. kek.
