A religion is concerned with the believer and his actions, whereas politics concerns with dealings with others. A religion is about personal conduct. A belief in how oneself should act, which is well within natural rights of an individual.
What I am trying to say: you can believe in whatever you want as long it doesn't concern other people. We all believe in something, because we are not omniscient, thus whatever you believe in might be considered as a religion of sorts.
