The story, as far as there is one goes something like this:

In the late 80s, after Lazar lost his clearance due to divorce, a breakthrough was made. This is why Ben Rich (CEO of LMs sunk works at the time) got really excited and dropped massive hints in the early 90s.

The breakthrough was in finally understanding gravity. Reassessing the Sagnac experiments and Michelson-Morely experiments from a century earlier showed that while not static as they postulated, an “ether” or medium through which electromagnetism propagates exists. This fabric of the universe was recently confirmed and named the “Higgs Field” but it’s true implications fly over the head of main stream physicists because they’re locked into the quantum mindset. People forget that the phsysics community was split between the ether and quantum factions in the late 1800s. Quantum was more popular and immediately proveable with the math and technology at the time so that faction won.

The fabric of the universe, or “ether” is dynamic, elastic, compressible, and perfectly frictionless. It can expand and contract and flow faster than light can propagate through it. When energy is added to a unit of ether, it compresses. It has a limit and when enough energy is applied to a small enough volume the ether can’t conpress any further and so deflects the compression in a dimension perpendicular to the 3rd, time, creating a vortex in the 3 dimensional ether, a particle. This 3 dimensional toroidal vortex has ether flowing towards it and back in time. It’s why particles experience time but light does not. It’s why subatomic particles manifest and decay away in particle accelerators when there is no projectile particle and no target in the viscinity.

Gravity is the flow of the ether towards large aggregations of these vortexes within it. It also explains inertia and particle spin and angular momentum. It also reconciles subatomic physics with macro physics.
