Corporations do not pay tax, only people pay tax. Corporations add things like tax expenses to their bottom line and then they set their prices of goods/services so that it's a margin on top of that bottom line, that's literally the mechanism that sets prices in the market place.

So all that happens if you tax corporations is that tax is passed directly to the consumers in higher prices, and it shoves up the cost of living for everyone. Corporation tax is completely pointless it's just there to mask the number the government really takes from people by pretending that some of it is paid by corporations, it's not it's paid by YOU.

Corporations pay the tax and then they raise their prices to charge the consumer more money to cover the cost of the tax. So the profits of the business remain the same but the cost of living for consumers go up. If you can't understand this simple concept then fucking kill yourself, a ten year old child with basic schooling can understand this.

No because corporation tax represents a small portion of the total costs for a business, wages/prices would only be affected by 1/3rd by a 1/3rd change in tax rate if the only expense for making a product or providing a service was only tax, that's immediately obvious to anyone, the fact that you didn't pick up on that means you're completely mathematically illiterate.

Corporations that get tax breaks do lower their prices, they set prices to be competative in a marketplace. If you own company A and I own company B and we both make widgets, and they cost about the same to make and we both get a tax break, if you keep your prices the same and I lower my prices so that my margin (the profit I make) stays the same then my prices are lower than yours, and consumers will buy my widgets rather than yours. It's competition in a free market that keeps prices reasonable (reasonable defined as the margin the company makes is small, in the order of 1-3%)

I would rather pay more and globohomo has to compete with the everyday man.
