There never was a unified “Tea Party”. It’s entire strength was it’s organic, grassroots nature. As soon as groups started to get organized they lost legitimacy. Movements like that are always flashes-in-the-pan.
It did do a lot to move the Overton window and brought a lot of libertarian/constitutionalist ideals to the forefront. It may be hard to remember now, but a lot of those ideas were considered “fringe” at the time. It also was an important step in the de-legitimization of the MSM/Uniparty cabal.
