Depending on the model you could always carry prepacked cylinders or multiple. AKA the New York reload. Most self defense scenarios are over after 1-5 rounds.

You're supposed to pack the cylinder with grease upfront and the cap in the back is tight as far as I know. I kena it depends on the model. They have vids on YouTube of people dunking them in water and firing them.

Yeah, of course they can kill someone, it's a pistol. I'm a big fan of the Bulldog . 44 as well as a snub nose S&W . 38. Nice, reliable handguns for the majority of situations you are likely to ever encounter. Not my preferred home security firearm, nothing beats a shotgun for home defense, but the . 44 is fun & the . 38 w/hollow points is adequate for walking around and is also a discreet carry.
