China is very pragmatic Marxist-Leninist where they realized they didnt have the capital to enact socialism in a constructive way so they liberalized the economy under Deng to increase foreign investment and capital development while maintaining total government control over every business and piece of capital for its eventual reclamation by the state under a different generation of chinese government some time in the future.
