debatable. Most ancient philosophers distinguished between "God" and "gods" - there is one supreme cosmic principle or logos (God), but there are many persons in the Godhead or manifestations of aspects of the divine.
You start to see an explicit philosophical defense of polytheism against Christianity with some of the Neoplatonists, like Plotinus, Celsus, and Julian the Apostate. But all the "pagan" philosophers thought believed in a supreme God who was qualitatively unlike the others.

nomos means convention, i.e. custom and positive law. logos means reason, or a rational principle. the corollary to nomos isn't 'logos' but 'physis,' which means a law founded in nature or reason, rather than in convention.
they aren't "practically the same" - they're entirely distinct concepts. Without a concept of 'logos' and 'physis', the nomoi (that's the plural of 'nomos' you fucking nog) aren't founded on anything with intrinsic normative value, and therefore are viewed as arbitrary. this is why the loss of logos leads to disenchantment and disrespect for the law. because everything is arbitrary and worthless without a transcendent basis in logos

I understand that, you retard. The problem is that it's not at all clear how this is supposed to be done. Early Nietzsche (Birth of Tragedy, On The Greek State. lecture on Homer) follows Schiller, Schopenhauer, and German Romanticism in thinking that aesthetic contemplation is the best way of overcoming nihilism, because it provides a moment of contact with the noumenal character of being.
In later Nietzsche it's harder to figure out what is supposed to motivate the eventual overcoming of passive nihilism. In The Gay Science, eternal recurrence might be doing the work here, but the problem is that Nietzsche only pushes the issue one step back: life is affirmed if we would commit to live it again eternally, and this involves some assessment of the worthiness of the whole. In some ways this is a return to the ethics of classical antiquity (with a focus on the good life as prior to a focus on the permissibility of deeds; virtue ethics get priority), but it's not clear why we affirm the whole. The main thought is that our ideal view on the whole is grounded in a moment of aesthetic evaluation, and Nietzsche lends credibility this interpretation when saying we should view life as a work of art.
But it's not clear if Nietzsche maintains this view later, with his greater emphasis on the will to power. Nobody knows what the fuck will to power is because whether that's given a metaphysical interpretation or not depends on if we count Nietzsche's unpublished notes, which contradict claims he makes in his written work. So we don't know how to sort it out and the term is extremely ambiguous.
So aesthetic affirmation is more appealing, but that too is unclear because Nietzsche doesn't have a metaphysics of beauty.

Let's take the allegory of the cave in order to point out this nuance. Within it Plato differentiates the difference of viewpoints as a moral dichotomy, when it just as well can be ignorance or misunderstanding. Furthermore, the logos that is argued for by Christianity IS creating such an enslavement cave.
Now, I grant you that logos in Christianity is special compared to other similar forms of rationality in other belief systems (Christian logos =/= nomos). As far as I am aware, there is no comparable belief system that incorporates the ability to update the description of reality as a moral duty into it's own belief system. Image related, sociologically, this ensures that cultural norms are irritable over the generations. This process was a bit too powerful for it's own good as Freddie noticed:
