Marine Corps Sergeant Major Walter Valentine now 94 years old saw heavy combat in three wars and fought in Iwo Jima, Guadalcanal, Guam in WW2 as well as in Inchon in the Korean war and during Tet offensive in Vietnam. He was wounded three times in combat. His list of medals and citations includes a Silver star, Purple Hearts, multiple Bronze Stars with 'V', Air Medal and a Navy and Marine Corps Commendation Medal with 'V' among many others. He spent his entire career fighting for America. No millenial would even come close to his badassery.
Even at the age of 94, he says he misses the thrill of combat.
He also completed parachute course and sniper course. He was a member of Marine Force Recon too.
He also participated in Operation Plumbob which was a live fire exercise just 4 miles away from a real nuclear explosion.
