What does Christianity have to do with politics?

I can't. I'm just wondering why everyone wants to appropriate Christian values into their political ideologies these days. It doesn't even seem to matter if you are liberal or conservative. Both left and right will use Christianity to viral market their ideas. Yet, it's like, what the fuck does Christianity even have to do with any of the issues in modern society today?

I asked the question in order to generate a discussion topic to get different people's opinions on it. Obviously, the two are related - if you read carefully, you'll notice I did not phrase the question "DOES christianity have anything to do with politics" - I phrased it "WHAT does Christianity have to do with politics" - implying it obviously does have something to do with it. Hearing what different people's thoughts are is interesting. I already have my own thoughts on it and I'm waiting for other people to speak first, unless they don't want to and the thread simply dies. Either way, I was hoping for a discussion with another person, not a homework assignment where I just go read the opinion of someone in a book somewhere who might not be representing you personally.
Afterall, how do you know that whatever source I look up is going to teach me the ideas you already believe yourself? What if I get some version of the truth from that source that you don't personally agree with? You have no idea what my source will be, so you are essentially saying you don't really care about the topic.
Poland stays white because nobody want to stay in Poland, they have "exported" 5M workers in the last 10 years, all the poor European countries are just like that, Belaruss, Ukraine, Slovakia, Romania etc.....
