They did, but also Luftwaffe.

They didn't need to.

Also the germans back then were not to pussies they are today. The had more than painted broomsticks to defend themselves.

That would defeat the purpose.

So more Amerigolems would die and we could spend the next 100 years importing new stock.

They did, but the Norden Bombsight was too inaccurate for the bombing to be effective.

carpet bombing no. But if they have used shitload of SBD Dauntless in Normandy as germans used stukas it would help alot

Germans would have known exactly where the landing was going to take place if there was bombing of that sort

The only real response.

how the fuck did they get that plane on there

They did. The bombers on Utah flew under the clouds and hit their targets, the bombers on Omaha flew over the clouds and missed.

Im starting to think D day didnt happen the way we've been told it happened. The more an event is pushed and harped on, the more skeptical I am of it.

How about you fucking read a history book nigger and don't fucking post ever again

Seriously, no one is also going to name a hella big reason?

THEY HAD REINFORCED ANTI-AIRCRAFT BUNKERS LINING THE BEACH.

The Germans were brilliant. They had damn strong defenses, that is for sure.

>Germans would have known exactly where the landing was going to take place if there was bombing of that sort
They thought they did, so Hitler held back the Panzer Corp. If he did not it would have been more of a fiasco than it was. D-day was a meat grinder and if it was tried today, well we would all be speaking German.

i could have been speaking german if it wasnt for your meddling ass

It was a lot different from what you see in "shaving Ryan's privates" and other jewhollywood productions.
Best bet is to find some books from infantry soldiers that survived it.
The pacific war and battles on the Japanese islands were 10x more brutal than anything the Americans faced on Normandy.

but why didnt they just use their GPS?

I thought it was because they shelled it from sea

The Germans were all on the Eastern front or dead already. That's why they invaded when they did. They did it to stop Russia from sweeping up the whole continent.

The Germans shot down their satellites with nukes.

>well we would all be speaking German.
Imagine still believing this boomer meme

Because the DeLorean in “Back to the Future” hadn’t been invented yet.

Hi zoomer

Fucking retards.

here's to those who drowned before they reached the beach.

>tfw you will never be a shy american girl living in Nazi occupied U.S.A , practising your german for language changeover day soon to be engaged to your Chad german boyfriend Otto

Goyim must be sacrificed for the pledge of allegiance to Judea to be bonafide.

>D-Day was a meat grinder I tell you huwhat
Why are you such a faggot?

the germans thought the invasion was going to take place at calais. to bombard normandy to the point where it would have significant effect would take longer, and risk reinforcement of the surrounding area. in particular cherbourg, the deep water port desire to move the large amounts of men/material to open the western front.

tl;dr effective bombardment would defeat the point of surprise invasion location

How does that bomber take off?

>would all be speaking German
no USA and British Empire wpuld still speak english, but continental Europe would be speaking communist. Red Army would have to push germans all the way and with huge casulties and overstreched supplies

Because it was a sacrifice to Satan. The day was 6/6. Who knows maybe the shelling started at 6am to round it off

ok wolfenstein timeline then. then its a german world

Saving Private Goyim has a lot to answer for. Admittedly one US beach was, the other four beaches on D-Day wasn't.

This is retarded.

Planes move faster than ships. A quick and intense bombing would have given no more advanced notice than a massive armada moving that way.

Speaking spanish instead now, eh ?

This. My Grandfather was in the Pacific for the battle of Siapan. Long story short, he never ate collard greens after it. He said they smelled just like dead Japanese.

On D-Day no, but days after there was an operation of 1800 bombers carpet bombing, yes.

That's not a big reason, they had munitions for those. A bigger reason is alerting the enemy that an assault was about to take place on those positions.

>en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Normandy_landings#Bombardment
>It is estimated that the bombings in Normandy before and after D-Day caused over 50,000 civilian deaths
Based. I've read other estimates that are even higher.

still, swarms Typhoons and Avengers divebombing and giving actual ground support during landing would helped alot. You could have acquired soviet šturmoviks too in trade for moro locomotives and trucks to soviets

Because that would have signaled their planned invasion and allowed the German Tank divisions more time to mobilize to counter the attack.
The allies were always going to take the beach the real battle was whether or not they could secure the foothold or die trapped with their backs to the sea.

Which had 2 planes left in the vicinity

There were hundreds of P47s and Typhoons in action during normandy what are you fucking talking about? Over 2k fighter bombers the US and Brits flew were lost by June 7th.

We've been taking about ww2 for too long none of us have any connection to it who gives a shit if you do stop

>hundreds
not enough, one for every german bunker would be decent

Ok ok ok pol, the Americans did carpet bomb some hit nd some missed.
The fog was the real challenge.
Utah and Omaha were the most brutal. Sword and gold were rough but America had the worst of it.
Omahas ridges were hard to traverse and Utah was half the length of a football field.
Mines were scattered around and thanks to the pathfinders and navy seals at the time called killer bees disarmed as many as they could.
The airborn...flying tin fucking cans of sardines and a real shit show.
I mean I can go on and on because I read this invasion over and over in elementary. But oh man this invasion was already sketched from the 1st time it was drawn and thought of.
Patton called England's generals nut jobs before he sends his troops to a slaughter fest. America needed more intel and newer technologies before they even step on the invasion line for d-day.

This as well

First German deaths on d-day were from long range shelling by the navy

Who invited you kike, get lost.
This isn't a holocaust thread.

They did
Lmao@ your life

boom!! correct answer. white men of breeding age needed to die in high numbers. WW1 didn't satisfy the kike

>why didn't the americans carpet bomb the beaches of normandy before invading it?
we had a lot of protestants and jews from Pennsylvania we needed to get rid of

Why didn't they fire guided missiles from the boats into the German firing positions? Tesla built a radio controlled model boat in the 1930's . They had the technology back then to do it.

unironically everything is a lie. i dont believe anything anymore and i dont give a shit about anything except hording wealth so i can do fun shit that i want to do. when the majority stops watching niggers collide into each other for millions and guzzling down processed chemicals labled as food and do something then maybe ill come back to giving a shit. its never going to happen though so im going to do what the fuck i want.

If they carpet bomb the beach days before than the germans know the exact location they are landing. The most important thing was to keep germans guessing where the landing would be. It worked because Hilter was preparing for invasion HUNDREDS of kilometers away from Normandy. it took many days for german panzer/troops/artillery to get to invasion location.

Related question.

How accurate was Saving Private Ryan at depicting the war?

Only one US beach was signifcantly tough. US airborne may have been a shitshow, British not so much. Pegasus bridge was fucking perfect.

Weather issues made runs difficult. The invasion was even postponed due to the inability to safely drop the paratrooper infantry. Fucking European weather, shit is worse than Michigan.

The Soviet Operation Bagration broke the Reich and left a weakened western front for the Anglo Axles of evil to invade. I suspect this was mostly done because Hitler (who like Sadam and Musolini had been favourites of the west for a time even supported by Ford, General Motors and Shell) had failed to prevent communism rolling in from the East. Presumably this could have continued all the way to the English channel.

they carpet bombed the fuck out of them with boats before going in if that counts. It was all about surprise my friend Hitler thought they were landing elsewhere

Not bad depiction of D-day, but the true absurdity is that and order of magnitude more soldiers were lost in the weeks following D-day than the actual invasion itself. The Germans had a near perfect defense in depth that was gimped by simply not having the numbers to sustain it. Military History Visualized has a great video on this topic.

Element of surprise.

War is BIG business, plus they didn't want to advance too far and fast, they had to let the USSR move West far enough so the (((banksters))) would have the 45 year long Cold War.

They tried to bomb the beaches via aircraft before D-Day. They attempted it at night and completely missed the beaches. The goal of bombing the beach was to create craters for infantry cover and to clear mines.

Germans hacked the entire satellite facilities while playing Fortnite

I think all avalible bombing planes were targetting civilians at that point.

>Military History Visualized
Is that a YouTube channel?

Photoshop

Yes, he has an absolute wealth of topics and he is very well sourced with his presentation. 10/10 channel

There were not large concrete stone wall bunkers where MG42s fired from onto the beaches. The depiction in saving private ryan and all subsequent depictions based on that are completely wrong of what Omaha beach actually looked like. It was far more open and was designed with multiple machine gun/artillery emplacements that would focus into a single point where most of the casualties occurred.

only 300k died

Nicee. I'll subscribe to it.

Why didn't america invade Russia with Germany?

This. It was a jewish ritual sacrifice.

They did. Just landed on the wrong beach.

i looked it up and it's actually real. it can;t take off, but it's being transported back to the US from Lebanon.

even though this is from ww1 i still find it relevant to your point. both world wars were gigantic judeo-masonic ritual sacrifices in order to destroy and deplete the europeans.

this. Also, so they could save up bombs to kill non combatants later.

i was born in 1985 and I first heard hella from the older kids at my high school. definitely not a zoomer thing.

Only hard one you guys had was Juno and even then Canada did most of the work.

They bombed it then bombarded it with battleship guns. Death toll would have been much higher if they didn't but you can't get everyone one of them if they're in bunkers.

But they did.
youtube.com/watch?v=RsCSQ4uWR1Y

They shelled the beaches with naval artillery, but the preliminary bombardment would alert the enemy to the place where they were to attack, and the allies were intent on convincing the enemy the attack would come at Pas de Calais.

>then Canada did most of the work.
And nothing of value was lost.

Most of the beaches were unguarded.

You're idea of men running at machine gun fire happened on like two beaches. Only like 4k men died on D day which in comparison to some civil war battles and the overall death toll in ww2 is fucking nothing.
