Homesteading/Off-grid

I will be dumping infographics about gardening, homesteading, animal husbandry, ect. as promised. Anything similar is very welcome and appreciated by all.

Sounds good, thank you.

Also I am an experienced natural builder that is more than happy to answer questions. I will be posting stuff that I have on this as well.

THIS IS POLITICAL - it involves the most basic tenant of western society, property ownership and its merits

Think that you need a large mortgage to afford a quality home? Looks like you were educated by (((bankers))). Building a safe, durable, ecologically sound home can cost as little as 20k

Bump

BUILD YOUR OWN HOME! Buy land and perform your own labor. Dont spend your whole life slaving away for Federal Reserve funny money. Invest in a community and help it grow.

Thanks for the bump! Have this.

DO NOT GET A MORTGAGE AND BUY A PLYWOOD BOX. They are harmful to your health and will deteriorate quickly, requiring constant repairs.

Attached: how-much-backyard.png (516x1600, 1.1M)

The average American home is a plywood box, wrapped in plastic, and covered over with asphalt shingles. SAD!

Land is cheap all over the country. People will complain and bitch about land prices or something else they think is wrong. There is something wrong with almost every acreage of land. Invest in your local community and make your neighbors lives better. It starts one person at a time

Almost anybody can plant a garden. The food that you can grow is always going to be better tasting and better for you thn what you can buy at the store. SAVE MONEY, EAT LOCAL

PRODUCE YOUR OWN POWER. Make a windmill, a small hydro dam, anything. Establishing your own sources of electricity is crucial.

NEXT COMES WATER. Rainwater harvesting is incredibly easy to do and is some of the highest quality water available.

If youre in a cold climate, Build a greenhouse and sell Fresh LOCALLY GROWN citrus in the middle of winter. You can make money and improve the quality of life for those around you at the same time

EVEN IF YOU DID GET SWINDLED INTO BUYING A PLYWOOD SUBURBAN BOX: You can still raise chickens in some locals, do it!

BUILD YOURSELF A PASSIVE SOLAR HOME. If you need further heating, try this.

Even a small fold-up solar panel and a single car battery will let you charge your phone and operate a radio indefinitely.

Youre right. But most people arent going to rough it. Quality of life is important too

I meant in an emergency. You don't need to do whole home solar / wind / hydro to provide some small amount of electricity to keep in touch during an emergency.

One step at a time.

THIS IS WHERE YOU SHOULD LIVE. Far from degenerate cities

Attached: barnreflectedonlake.png (550x550, 551K)

I agree. Do all that you can for yourself, family, and community

>Love this, love you OP
I got a 20x30 garden going, been pressure cabning for a few years.

Gotta tell ya, working with the soil and seeing how wonderful plants are really makes me feel more in tune with God
>May Jesus bless you all

Bless you as well, His patterns are in all things. I wish you luck with your garden. What are you growing?

I think of it more then self interest then generosity. The men who came before me built what I have and I need to maintain or improve it for those who come after. The closest thing I have to self interest after I am dead. The problem is everyone else fucking it up.

You really should update your infographics for your own good. They are too small to read in some parts.

That... or I'm just a boomer.

Bok choy
Yellow squash
Cucumbers
Tomaotes
Various peppers
Various herbs
Onions
Garlic
Sunflowers
Beans
Okra
Maybe radish if i have room.
>Most if not all are organic, and i try to keep it organic
Had to spray my tomatoes, leaves getting blight already with all the rain, even though they are getting plenty or air and sunlight.

Last year lost 1/2 tomato crop because of blight killing my plants.

Also rabbits ate 15 sunflower plants. Damn little things

Rabbits are tasty and easily taken with a pellet rifle.

Attached: SCEBtypes.png (512x225, 146K)

Sounds like my kind of garden. Okra is super fun to grow. I have heard that eggplant will keep rabbits away, but I have never tried it

I have a few no kill traps, i thought maybe id catch a few. But i was told that in summer they have tons of parasites, to wait for fall or winter.

Ill have to research that of course.

Ground squirrels were a problem last year as well, they are fast. I probably killed 5-10. I am going to do more to trap and deter them this year

Good job OP! You are an inspiration to us all.

Had a kale and mint salad pulled fresh from the garden for lunch and I am now stirring the marinara (garden fresh tomatoes and herbs) for dinner. Most people don't realize that (((they))) have compromised much of the food and water supply. You have to go off grid/non gmo/homegrown to beat them. Prepared "By Your Own Hand", as an (((elite insider))) put it.

Thanks for posting and may your garden grow!

I live 100% off grid, I get my internet from an unlimited hotspot. Ask away but I am phone posting. Currently working on borehole cooling. I have a dry 330 ft well I am going to run pex-al-pex through and water in s closed loop and radiator for cooling.

May yours grow as well. I thank you

Do you have a link to see for mobile.

dear user
initially I wanted to ask for sources
but you have so many great materials
so please, consider compiling them into a book
find a good publisher that can source it
scientists that can give their loving opinion
and for the sake of Jesus Christ and Hitler
publish it, for the sake of the planet.
you will even become rich, as a side effect
thank you,
the planet

Just moved, our last home was a rural acre, we had three 100ft long raised beds. Right now just our herbs in pots, 10 tomato plants, 13 chickens and one starter grape harbor. I have the pipes from an old nursery so next summer a 16x24 greenhouse.

Attached: grassvsgrainbeef3.png (564x1111, 778K)

I want to answer but I dont understand the question. Please rephrase

Attached: grassvsgrainbeef4.png (564x730, 610K)

>Millennials
Unless you're over 40, shut up.
Been doing manual labour my whole life.

I have some passive solar greenhouse design stuff I can try and post. Might be helpful if youre in a cold climate. I haev to find them first though

Attached: grazing1.png (564x994, 1000K)

Attached: smallheards1.png (369x309, 133K)

Nah I'm good, post for others though. Free natural gas.

About 95% of people who think themselves "preppers" and try to grow their own food have absolutely no idea what they are doing and would definitely die if they had to grow their own food.

Attached: grassnutrientstime1.png (475x385, 222K)

That is unfortunate to hear, better not be in the 95%

Attached: fencinglivestock1.png (564x435, 190K)

Attached: rotationalgrazing2.png (411x344, 127K)

Not as fast as someone who isn't though. I am nowhere near what I need to be but it's better than nothing and it's healthy and cheap. I have 7 years of food stockpiled for 10 people.
