Our consciousness is not meant to fit to our animal, craving, flesh bodies, and our arrogant need to find a meaning, a utopic happiness, is an unuterrable irony.
Intelligence, and precisely "the need to understand" appeared in the gene pool for whatever reason, and made humans more apt to survive and evolve compared to stupid animals.
We continued to evolve, this "need to understand" started by dragging us into making tools and weapons more and more advanced, to the point our species became so advanced that we were no longer in direct danger of extinction by any theats that this earth could create, we were conquerors, and we put ourselves on the top of the food chain.
We were rulers of the earth, and we had nothing left to aim for.
While we had everything, we had all the time in the world, and being good enough to breed, our bodies stayed to the point of killing to survive, and rape the women to perpetuate the race, inconsciously slaves of the sweet dopamine our bodies were rewarding us.
But our minds were free of all basic conflict, we didnt stop this race to understanding, we started to acknowledge ourselves, our emotions, our own behaviours and patterns, inventing useless theorical concepts like religion, "good", "bad", philosophy, only understandable by a mind that craves more and more, only driven by an insatiable urge that became irrelevant since long ago with no point to pursue, a mind lost, unable to go further beyond because of this pathetic grotesque shell of flesh and bones, dicting our movements and our whole point in this universe.
There is nothing to do, ultimately, what our so-called intelligent mind can conceive is the reflection of an incomprehensible world, filtered by merely 5 senses and a will to survive enough to procreate.
