I was fortunate to have a good job that included full health cover -- the kind that's designed for very rich people. I was astonished to see how many people are simply not getting treatment. Your asthma example is a good one. Why do people tolerate that shit? It's obviously fucked and stupid. I think blaming boomers for it all is a red herring, since many boomers themselves are deprived of proper healthcare. I suspect the actual answer lies in a mass-scale political deception that's taken place where no one with political authority is sufficiently motivated to stop people from dying unnecessarily.
