Now that jobs growth has dropped slightly suddenly the news and others are pointing to this as sign that Trump’s Economic Miracle is going to come crashing down, and that his army of supporters- who suddenly have full-time jobs and are experiencing wage growth for the first time in decades- are going to turn on him.
Of course the numbers are going to drop! Does the media really expect unprecedented explosive job growth to last forever? They will take any opportunity to make Trump look bad. If everyone’s already got a job- then there’s no job growth. That’s not bad- that’s great. Now that’s not what I’m arguing here but remember in Obama’s twilight years- he also added a lot of ‘jobs’ to the economy. They were shitty slave-wage part-time jobs- at a minimum wage that wasn’t even enough to pay rent- The Homeless Generation. Many were unable to find full-time jobs so instead they worked multiple part-time jobs- and the media called it ‘the gig economy.’

We are accustomed to being desperate, poor, exhausted, and hopeless. Obama gave us an affordable healthcare plan that no one could afford and jobs that didn’t pay anything. Lots of jobs- because everyone had more than one. Looks great on paper..
