Ahahahahaha (((scientists))) say that the eclipse mentioned in Bible and by Thallus, that happened during the death of Jesus would have been impossible during that time. Don't they understand that it was eclipse caused by God, it wasn't ordinary one, God doesn't have to play by our rules. The New Testament is truth, the kikes are on full damage control.

These are the same (((scientists))) who say that Jesus doesn't exist, so why they are bothering with the minutae of His crucifixion is beyond me

They are afraid. If they were so sure they wouldn't even bother trying to debunk the Bible

There is more reason to believe in God than there is not

The Jesuits fucked with history. Jesus was crucified in roughly 1080 AD by our measure. Read your Fomenko.

Why would Satan be afraid even it God and Satan were real God has done nothing to hurt or hinder Satan in how many years? why would Satan be afraid of a God that doesn't seem to do anything.

What fate is that? thousands of years of being ignored by our creator? he already ignores us if he is even real.

Funny how God just stopped doing these miracles.

Except the times when he repeatedly did, right, but only for that one Jew who's word you have to take for it?

He came first as the Lamb, but will come back as the Lion of Judah to destroy the wicked.

I dont think a Lion is going to be able to destroy a being that GOD cant destroy, and if God can destroy Satan and doesn't then God can get fucked along with his faggot son and his faggot ghost

>new testament
Matthew and Luke give two contradictory genealogies for Joseph (Matthew 1:2-17 and Luke 3:23-38). They cannot even agree on who the father of Joseph was. Church apologists try to eliminate this discrepancy by suggesting that the genealogy in Luke is actually Mary's, even though Luke says explicitly that it is Joseph's genealogy (Luke 3:23). Christians have had problems reconciling the two genealogies since at least the early fourth century. It was then that Eusebius, a "Church Father," wrote in his The History of the Church, "each believer has been only too eager to dilate at length on these passages."

Repent, worker of iniquity.

>The New Testament is truth

How many generations were there between Abraham to David? Matthew 1:17 lists fourteen generations. Matthew 1:12-16 lists thirteen generations.

Who approached Jesus?
(Matthew 8:5-7) The Centurion approached Jesus, beseeching help for a sick servant. (Luke 7:3 & 7:6-7) The Centurion did not approach Jesus. He sent friends and elders of the Jews.

Paul’s attendants heard the miraculous voice and stood speechless.
Acts 9:7 Paul’s attendants did not hear the voice and were prostrate. Acts 22:9 & 26:14

>The New Testament is truth

Was she dead or just dying? (Matthew 9:18) He asked for help, saying his daughter was already dead. (Luke 8:41-42) Jairus approached Jesus for help, because his daughter was dying.

Just what did Jesus instruct them to take? (Matthew 10:10) Jesus instructed them not to take a staff, not to wear sandals. (Mark 6:8-9) Jesus instructed his disciples to wear sandals and take a staff on their journey.

When did the fig tree hear of its doom? (Matthew 21:17-19) Jesus cursed the fig tree after purging the temple. (Mark 11:14-15 & 20) He cursed it before the purging.

Yup, there are no contradictions in the Bible.

>How many generations were there between Abraham to David? blah blah blah
Who cares? They're just lists of figures that are important to various competing Jewish sects, because the author is hoping to convert those sects to his brand of Christianity. It goes without saying that both genealogies are completely made up.

>Who approached Jesus?
Neither. Jesus wasn't a real person.

>muh Acts
Contradicts Paul's own letters, which is one of the reasons why everyone understands it is a work of fiction.

The better question is why are there any contradictions in the bible at all.

Enjoy.

244. Was Jairus' daughter alive when Jesus was approached?
She was already dead. (Matthew 9:18)
Wrong. Matthew 9:18 translates “My daughter has just died, …” This is a mistranslation. The Greek has: "A moment ago my daughter was dying." (The aorist form of the verb excludes the result of the action of the verb, it only presents the action of the verb (here dying) in the past as a fact, not necessarily the result.) A classic mistranslation due to the Vulgate that has: ‘defuncta est’ (has died).

51. Did Jesus tell his apostles to go barefoot and without a staff?
He told them to go barefoot, without a staff. (Matthew 10:10, Luke 9:3)
Wrong. In Matthew and Luke the apostles were forbidden to take a bag with all sorts of extra’s (e.g. extra sandals – Matthew) and also a ‘stick’ to carry the bag (wallet) over their shoulder. (‘Staff’ is here a mistranslation.)

He told them to wear sandals and carry a staff. (Mark 6:8-9)
Right. In Mark another saying of Jesus is given, in which is spoken about prescribed things, as a stick – of course a walking-staff – and sandals on their feet, as they had a long journey before them.

171. When did Jesus curse the fig tree?
Before driving the merchant from the temple. (Mark 11:12-17)
General answer. Jesus drove out the merchants two times: the day of his Glorious Entry (Matthew 21:12) and the next morning when he came to the temple (Mark 11:12, 15). So the driving out of the merchants is not a bench mark.
Right. Before the second driving out in the morning, when Jesus went to the temple.

After driving the merchants from the temple. (Matthew 21:12,17-19)
Right. The morning after the first driving out, that is the day after the day of the Glorious Entry.

Fedora fag or JDL kike or godless slope detected.

>Yup, there are no contradictions in the Bible.
Apart from Matthew, who wrote that Jesus was born before 6-4BC, and Luke, who wrote he was born in 6AD

There aren't any contradictions in the Bible.

>The better question is why are there any contradictions in the bible at all.
There aren't. Atheists don't know how biblical exegesis works so they force these awkward readings to try and create contradictions that don't exist.

Is this what passes for a Jesuit rebuttal these days? Stop fucking so many kids.

Was John the Baptist Elias? "This is Elias which was to come." Matthew 11:14 "And they asked him, what then? Art thou Elias? And he said I am not." John l:21

8) Matthew 2:15, 19 & 21-23 The infant Christ was taken into Egypt. Luke 2:22 & 39 The infant Christ was NOT taken to Egypt.

9) Matthew 5:1-2 Christ preached his first sermon on the mount. Luke 6:17 & 20 Christ preached his first sermon in the plain.

10) Where did the devil take Jesus first? (Matthew 4:5-8) The Devil took Jesus first to the parapet of the temple, then to a high place to view all the Kingdoms of the world. (Luke 4:5-9) The Devil took Jesus first to a high place to view the kingdoms, then to the parapet of the temple.

11) What color was the robe the blessed Jesus was put in? And they stripped him and put a scarlet robe upon him. (Matthew 27:28). And the soldiers plaited a crown of thorns, and put it on his head, and arrayed him in a purple robe. (John 19:2)

12) In 1 Corinthians 1:17 ("For Christ sent me [Paul] not to baptize but to preach the gospel") Paul said Jesus was wrong when he said in Matthew 28:19 "Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them…" Clearly one of these people is wrong, either way, it’s a contradiction. On top of that even Peter taught it, 1 Pet. 3:21, "and this water symbolizes baptism that now saves you also -- not the removal of dirt from the body but the pledge of a good conscience toward God. It saves you by the resurrection of Jesus Christ."

you mean you lack critical thinking skill.

1) After visiting the temple, Joseph and Mary return to Bethlehem. (In the month since Jesus’ birth, Joseph had probably sought temporary work there, and that work had become more permanent, perhaps. It’s also quite possible that Joseph was planning to resettle his new family in Bethlehem, thinking it would be good for the Son of David to be reared in the City of David).

2) Simeon and Anna begin spreading the news that they have seen the Messiah in Jerusalem (Luke 2:25–38).

3) Sometime later, the magi arrive at Jerusalem and confirm the news on the street that the Messiah has been born (Matthew 2:1–2). Herod sends the magi on to Bethlehem, where they find young Jesus (Matthew 2:3–11).

4) The magi return home a different way, and Joseph is warned in a dream to flee to Egypt (Matthew 2:12–13).

5) After a while, Herod figures out that the magi have disregarded his wishes, and he orders the slaughter of all males two years old and younger near Bethlehem (Matthew 2:16). The “two-year” computation indicates that Jesus could have already been that old.

6) Herod dies in 4 BC.

7) Joseph brings his family back from Egypt (Matthew 2:19–21). Out of fear of Herod’s son, Joseph changes his plan to settle in Bethlehem and instead moves back to Galilee (Matthew 2:22–23).

There is nothing in the above chronology that contradicts either Matthew or Luke. The only way to find a contradiction between Matthew 2:21–23 and Luke 2:39 is to make assumptions based on a preconceived bias against the veracity of Scripture.

>paul's letters

Attached: x.jpg (310x500, 29K)

As a former Hitchens worshipping fedora tipper myself I can assure you that nobody has less critical thinking skill than devout atheists. Atheism is a philosophically untenable position no matter how many biblical "contradictions" your favorite atheist blog tries to create. Christianity is enduring because it contains truth. Atheism is an evolutionary dead end because it rejects truth in favor of materialistic nihilism.

Based and Amen

Estonia is the best European country and it is wholly atheist.

>There is nothing in the above chronology that contradicts either Matthew or Luke.
Matthew wrote that Jesus was born before the death of Herod, which happened in 4-6BC.

Luke wrote that Jesus was born during the census of Quirinius, which took place in 6AD.

Only one of them can be right, therefore the bible contains contradictions.

>all those fake epistles as said so by biblical scholars.
The problem is that if you accept the "authentic" Pauline epistles are actually inauthentic, then you have to jetison a lot of Christian theology.

Christianity is a very different kind of religion without Paul.

It's amazing but once again it's to be noted the "quality" of this blackboard has plummeted due to summer. Yes, it should be impossible for the already low quality to plummet, but it happens. A lot of threads on this board are literal 12-year-olds talking to each other.

The Greek word for “first” in Luke 2:2 is a form of the word protos and can be translated “before.” Thus Luke 2:2 is actually translated, “This was the census taken before Quirinius was governor of Syria.”

It's actually not.

Sage
>it goes in all fields

13) Has anyone ascended up to heaven? Elijah went up to heaven: "And Elijah went up by a whirlwind into heaven." 2 Kings 2:11 "No man hath ascended up to heaven but he that came down from heaven, even the son of man." John 3:13

14) How many angels were within the sepulcher? John 20:11-12 two, Mark 16:5 one. Just incase that they are not mutually exclusive then say that in Mark 16:6 it shows that one person was talking but in John 20:13 it shows two people talking. Now that is mutually exclusive.

15) Where did Jesus first appear to the eleven disciples? In a room in Jerusalem. Luke 24:32-37 On a mountain in Galilee. Matthew 28:15-17

16) Where did Christ ascend from? From Mount Olives. Acts 1:9-12 From Bethany. Luke 24:50-51

17) The Elijah mystery: (Malachi 4:5) Elijah must return before the final days of the world. (Matthew 11:12-14) Jesus said that John the Baptist was Elijah. (Matthew 17:12- 13) Jesus insists that Elijah has already come, and everyone understood him to mean John the Baptist. (Mark 9:13) Jesus insists that Elijah has already come. (John 1:21) John the Baptist maintained that he was not Elijah.

18) Jesus took Peter, James and John up the mountain six days (Matthew 17:1) or eight days (Luke 9:7) after he told them that they will not taste death before they see the Son of Man coming in his kingdom.

19 Matthew 4:18-20 shows that Jesus talked to Peter and Andrew together and they both followed him together but John 1:40-42, shows Andrew followed Jesus first and then he went and informed Peter.

20) Who bought the Sepulcher? Jacob, Josh 24:32 Abraham, Acts 7:16

21) Are we saved by works as well as faith? Ephesians 2:8-9 says no and James 2:24 says yes.

22) James 1:13 says God tempts no man but Genesis 22:1 says that God tempted Abraham.

Lol

>Christianity is a very different kind of religion without Paul.
Then why is it even in the comic book?

>"I was once a hitchens dick sucking redditor so if you're an atheist you must be too! Repent!"
I hate this pigeon hole thinking that "reformed Christcucks" fall into while simultaneously sperging out about atheists aren't free thinkers. Just because you don't believe in literal magic shit combined with countless contradictions, doesn't mean you're a "YASSS SCIENCE" redditor.

Possibly true, but the meaning is ambiguous. You can't rely on the "before" meaning because (1) We don't know of any such census before Quirinius and (2) that's a really weird thing to write, why not just say "This was the census undertaken when XXX was the governor of Syrai"

>It's actually not.
Not you again. Don't you have any big Russian cocks that need sucking?

100% this

Religion evolved, just like man. We evolved from filthy monkey men. I can only hope religion is able to evolve as far as we have.

Quirinius actually ruled Syria on two separate occasions, and there were actually two censuses taken. The “first census” mentioned in Luke 2:2 occurred during Quirinius’ first term as governor, and another during his second term. The second census is mentioned in Acts 5:37 and probably took place between AD 6 and 7 (Josephus links this census to an uprising led by Judas of Galilee). Luke was the author of both the Gospel of Luke and the book of Acts, and his goal was to write “an orderly account” (Luke 1:3). It seems that Luke did write a careful, orderly account: he mentions two censuses, and it was during the first one that Jesus was born. It would be unlikely for such a meticulous historian to make a blatant mistake in his timeline of events.

>Just because you don't believe in literal magic shit combined with countless contradictions
This reads like it came straight off r/atheism though. In this moment are you euphoric?

>Then why is it even in the comic book?
The decision about which books to include in the canon, and which to exclude, was not made by some shadowy committee of early Christians. It was just the reality of which books various Christian churches were using.

What is your country

This is all outright nonsense.
You take different accounts and interpret each directly literally against each other without looking into their context at all.
This is the same kind of shit that Biblical literalists and creationist fags do.

"scientists" aka jews freemasons satanist fake news imbeciles telling lies with their feeble mouths

It was deliberate. The kind of atheist who spouts off about "magic" and "bible contradictions" is precisely the kind of person who holds dogmatic beliefs about naturalism and empiricism that they've virtually never questioned. In the mind of the atheist metaphysical naturalism is simply the default position, they've literally never considered any other possibility. That's why it's so hard for them to actually understand Christianity. Because Christianity isn't a simple proposition that can be proven or falsified within their naturalistic worldview, it's an entirely different and competing worldview with it's own set of metaphysical axioms.

There's certain knowledge that a naturalist accepts that they will never know. Are we living in a simulation? A naturalist accepts that it's beyond the reach of his epistemology that places empiricism as the be all end all, you can't prove you're in the Matrix via empiricism if all your sensory information is simulated.

On the other hand the theist says we can move beyond that, that moral realism and mathematical realism are true and thus there are real non-physical aspects to reality we can know through rational logical thought without the need for any empirical evidence. When you move into that realm and really start considering the issues posed, theism is only a short distance away, and an inescapable conclusion.

Attached: 9780802829214.jpg (1008x1500, 1018K)

Are they not referencing the same things?

Is this the problem for you, is it like marvel universes and different timelines?

>blah blah blah
We don't need no evidence, let the motherfucker burn.

Luke's account corroborates the idea of multiple censuses for Judea when he writes "This was the first census taken while Quirinius was governor of Syria." Certainly, the word "first" implies that more than one census happened.

So the source text itself explains away the perceived contradiction.
