Regarding betting on the rate cuts, I think the market is way off on their bets. It's implied that there will be 3 rate cuts this year, which I think is ridiculous. The Fed is willing to cut if they have to but from their statements and speeches I think the majority of the Fed is extremely reluctant to go back to the free money policy they've had previously.
Regarding the Bond spreads, pic related. If the 2y/10y inverts and stays inverted for a decent amount of time (6 months to a year), then you can start panicking. As it is the 6m/10y has inverted. I would point out that some of this is due to 10year Bunds (German bond) going negative (currently -0.24%), and that the US 10y is not a pure indicator of bullishness or bearishness on the US economy.
Adults have a lot more free time than they tell you. “I’ve been super busy lately” is the generic adult way of saying they didn’t make time with you a priority. You don’t have parents forcing you to do extracurricular or anything to study for so when you’re done working most people are done for the day. Family complicates things a little bit but with all the technology these days kids are easier than ever to occupy with shit and still have them learning ABCs etc Once kids start getting into school you have even more time unless you have to drag them around to activities like karate class and shit All in all the adult life is pretty sweet I definitely have more time and money for hobbies as a married man with kids than I did as a kid myself
