The closest I've seen is, in a few instants, a whole shit-ton of nodes will go ballistic at the same time because the system is at a bit of an unstable point, 1 guy will blow up the guys keeping it stable, then it starts a cascade where in very rapid succession a new node will see that it's now """losing""" owing to its allies getting blown up, and start its own explosive option.
Thus far I haven't seen this happen IRL yet and I hope it's just an artifact of the system.
