My personal basic understanding is that the rhythms of 3,6,9 are a framework for the other numbers. It is a form of math which lays out how nature works to make patterns of living cells and tissue, galactic arms and deposits of precious metals etc, everything. Consequently if you use it's technique to inform your architecture, design or mechanism, you will end up with a project that works in conformity with natural rhythms and thus is often superior to projects that work against natural borders or barriers which are hard to force.
There are far more esoteric and mystical interpretations, but basically, Tesla just said to work WITH nature, not against her. Learn from how she does things, harness natural forces, harness natural powerful rhythms to make greater technology, art, societies and works in general.
