Hey friend. People believe you are I, or state so for convenience sake in their objectives. I and some others I convinced worked to make some things standard to increase efficiency and productivity, I love process improvement and management and this is a nice little working example of standardized formatting and processes that make things more conducive to being productive. I can elaborate on why certain things are the way they are if you were curious, though it's probably kind of boring and I doubt.
Basically, if a thread is always on page one and there is less waste production (posts with no bumping) then visibility is greatest. Not allowing raiders and spammers to take first spot removes incentive and enjoyment from raiding and spamming. Threads are more fluid if a system of custody is in place and predictably there is little gap in one thread to the next. It creates an incentive to hurry to the end without worry once the incentives of the last thread dry up.
