i kind of see what youre asking but the question is riddled with flaws. nonetheless i have to admit i used to believe could outwork anyone, and get rich as a consequence. the days of promotion and partnership may be over, however wealth requires work. in the case of hollywood and the like, to help you understand, think of each celebrity as a business that includes not just the talent, but all the agencies and individuals that contribute to their viability. the salaries wind up looking more reasonable when you understand the sum of labor and influence. not defending its existence but it fits comfortably within the capitalist landscape we're currently in when you expand your scope

There are exponentially more wealthy people who earned their money- but you'll never know their names. Because they have no desire to be in the public eye.

yeah man. bettering yourself, actually contributing, and respecting yourself too. i grew up very much believing i had to earn my stay and that it would be rewarded. i certainly earned my stay but learned i had to construct my own reward, which is where entrepreneurialism came in.

In fact, how hard the work is doesn't have much to do with it.
It depends on how valuable the work is.
People pay you for the value you provide.
Celebs may not provide much value to an individual person, but they do provide entertainment to a large number of people.
Some folks make their money delivering an expensive service to a select few
and some folks make their money delivering a cheap service to a large mass.

ive found that to be true for myself, but i have to acknowledge some enjoy the stability of working for a large firm, despite the cost of having superiors. there are plenty of well paying jobs (many of them a virtual cakewalk). i cant criticize employment, because not only does it work well for many people but frankly i need people like that.
