Which will never happen, it's really nice that in the past, space exploration was international and despite all the saber clashing on the world politics stage they were cooperating together and still do, the ISS alone is really nice example how all nations stationed there can actually see beyond the "earthly" problems. But I am more concerned about it eventually becoming profitable business and what was once noble goal will become just another industry to exploit and disfigure it just like almost everything done in the past. Right now, Space X and Virgin still is in net loss but the costs are being reduced considerably with each year, what will happen when it goes into net gain?

I know about the asteroids that contain trillions of dollars of wealth and that's what I am concerned about, that the second it becomes feasible what was once common goal for the sake of progress will turn into sabotage and spending resources to attain the monopoly of whoever was the first to do it. To be honest, I think, that the sabotage will become a thing second option like this is put on the table, we wouldn't even have to get to that asteroid. Imagine if China in the next 20 years decided to mine some asteroids around mars or memium3 from the moon and it all got poired into their infrastructure and economy, the USA would be screeching first but foremost, would do everything in their power to stop this from happening. And that's what I meant when I said, that it will eventually devolve into petty haggling.

My personal end goal is heading an asteroid mining company. I figure I have 50 years w/ life extending tech helping me stay relatively spry to make it happen. My current business is real estate, and I'm hoping for an average 20% yrly return but I've been able to jew my way into 80% coc in the last 2 years.
