Agree OP. I’ve written and recorded two albums completely by myself. I sing and play every instrument, and I’ve only let a handful of people hear them. They’re not for anyone but me, and I love listening to both of them. Creating music is the most therapeutic process there is.

Get a cheap keyboard from amazon and then go to youtube for tutorials.
As for production software, the Aryan program of choice is Renoise (or Max/MSP), but if you're a stupid shitskin you can try using FL Studio.
