as i already explained to you this is the case for every possible characterization of what it means to be a philosopher. if i say a philosopher has properties x,y,z, and you want to know if person p is a philosopher, you will always have to make a judgement call on whether p actually exhibits the properties x,y,z.

the only way around this would be if we could reduce the concept of being a philosopher to some purely material properties that are measurable in some way that everybody could be reasonably expected to agree on. this is unlikely to be possible for such an abstract concept that is intimately tied to mental activity.

ie you cannot prove that someone is or is not a philosopher to someone who does not share your fundamental view of their character
