Yes. But they where not typically allowed to serve in combat units, most where relegated to supply or burial units, well behind the front line and with no risk of capture. There where a few black combat units, an armor unit with Patton. But I don't recall that unit ever getting captured and massacred, that unit was involved in mass rapes of french civvies that got brushed under the rug.
