It's from 1839, so not "classical", but I love it.
Carl Spitzweg was a unique satirist.
Then as now, satire is mainly about humiliating others.
Spitzweg, on the other hand, has portrayed the weaknesses of his subjects, but has never been mean. On the contrary, he was always very loving with his "victims".
