The university treated myself and some others as a very dangerous bunch of people and spent all kinds of money trying to keep us quiet about it.

My belief is that people who have been through such things are in the best position to inform the younger generations. The doctors obviously are complete failures in this regard.

Universities are private corporations that enjoy tax-free status in order to be profitable for the shareholders. I'm not saying corporations are bad, but you should understand what they are. They're not going to get more alumni donations if they let bad things come out. If you want to strangle you university, hit it in the pocket book.

But what happened was what it took to meet with the president and all other kinds of higher-ups and for them to pay for psychological services and flights across the country, free food, and whatever else. The reason was to cover up for what they admitted was a member of the corporation who failed to follow his protocols and monitor the outcome of the medication.

There are a few former transgender people, ones who started in the 1960s or 1980s, who have detransitioned and talk about their experiences. some are born again christian other leave the religion out of it but they describe the short and long term effects of hormones and although it isn't always bad it is probably as dangerous as the prozac and other medications.
