Historically...

Historically, what happens when a broke and broken government tries to solve its brokenness by increasing the size of the governent?
California is constantly adding new taxes and regulations, and almost 40% of the population there is in poverty.
How long until they completely collapse? Will the federal government have to bail them out to avoid them taking the entire economy down with them?

Bailing out Commiefornia is a civil war trigger.

they're the fifth largest economy in the world. Bigger than the UK. Not fight largest GDP in the US.... they have the fifth largest economy in the world

What exactly does C.A. produce?

Technology and entertainment. They take money from all you losers in their sleep while ya'll are still trying to make money of cheese production.

Timber in the north.
The largest geothermal field in the world.
Wine grapes
Seafood
Fruits, veggies and nuts in the valley
Cattle
Minerals
All those silicon valley fucks
Entertainment

I presume you are Californian. Ever notice how the media never talks about the state debt? They try to confuse people with talk about how governor Moonbeam reduced the deficit and now their is a $6 billion surplus. No talk about the $500 billion debt.

Which is nothing compared to our national debt that gets bigger by the day. At least CA is paying their fair fucking share to the federal goventment

>Fair share
Bullshit, CA is one of the states that went crazy and started coming up with illegal shit when the SALT was nuked.
No more subsidizing.

Your kinfolk in west virginia would throw a fit if federal money stopped flowing from c.a.

In a drought state, you replicate that long drought a few years ago and the agriculture/wine exports will begin crumbling.
Soft tech is already slowing down vs a few years ago. It’s not as rooted and any tech company can just pick up and move to another techie friendly city in other states.
Hard tech is a bit more rooted. They have a bit more longevity in California.
Entertainment will probably also be in CA for a long while.

The problem with California is that it has a lot of resources to tap into but the politics and special interests/culture are beginning shift into purposefully not taking advantage of what it has.

You have the”little people” who work in the industries that sprouted up to CATER to the big tech money (restaurants, retail, design, construction, etc) also screaming and wailing against that same tech industry. They don’t realize the moment tech pulls out of CA, real estate will take a nose dive (hooray!) but restaurants, design firms, retail stores, misc service providers, will all shutter doors because their main money basket left (oohhh nooo!) and that will lead to unemployed little people who cannot pay for the lowering rent anyways.

tech isn't pulling out of CA. Wishful thinking, but do you understand the logistics of moving your entire workforce? It's a high tax state and it hasn't happened so that should tell you something

>I presume you are Californian. Ever notice how the media never talks about the state debt? They try to confuse people with talk about how governor Moonbeam reduced the deficit and now their is a $6 billion surplus. No talk about the $500 billion debt.

Not to mention that the illegal aliens completely and totally infest Mexifornia:

>latimes.com/local/california/la-me-census-latinos-20150708-story.html

They've successfully genocided whites from California by creating such conditions that it's impossible for us to reproduce.

Are you retarded. You are the reason you can't reproduce

Geothermal, lmao, net loss again coming from tax dollars

People can''t leave this state because they have no money to move due to how expensive the state is, or the industry's they work in are rooted here.

I hope the entire state gets consumed by fire tornados again this year.

Yeah except when you figure in military welfare 'funding' CA is a huge taker state. Pull all of the military bases and contracts from CA and the state collapses. Take that welfare queen bitch. Just because it isn't welfare doesn't mean you aren't uncle Sam's ho.

CA isn't gonna collapse from some military contracts. It's a fact that they have a net payment from taxes larger than what they get back. The US doesn't want CA out of their revenue source

cheese is delicious though you fucking faggot, only humans can process dairy

I agree that cheese is delicious. That wasn't my argument you moron.

They're banking on the next dem president to bail them out.

Essentially nothing of value, got it.

Isn't that what is currently going on with the tent cities popping up everywhere?

Thinking CA actually produces anything but tech and Mexicans ahahaha!

The key tipping point is when the ultra poorfag voting masses collectively have enough voting power to pass idiotic shit that destroys the economy. Then goes argentina, peru or venezuela, depending on the type of backlash/explosion.

CA has a great deal of production, but don't forget that government spending is counted in the GDP, so there's a distortion.

If they were in a good position they wouldn't be demanding a repeal to prop 13 next year. But even that's irrelevant. The government spends all of it's money to generate a crisis, then they get the voters to back a tax increase to fix the crisis, repeat.

No. What happened was that some local judges, with the help of lawyers for advocates for the homeless, made a ruling that cities cannot enforce vagrancy laws unless there were open homeless shelter beds. Similar results, very different mechanics.

gov't spending is counted in the GDP everywhere. There's no distortion, just the fact the the US spends money in all states. CA still gives more money to the federal government than they get in return as federal spending

also a commiefornia tard here, I just want everything to collapse. Tired of the madness and el goblino hordes

you're retarded you you can't figure out how to quote a post.

>Historically, what happens when a broke and broken government tries to solve its brokenness by increasing the size of the governent?
they take more of people's money, and people slowly bleed out of the area to avoid being extorted

Ok, you moron. That was the best argument you had, lol. How does it feel to be retarded

The distortion is seeing a high GDP and equating it to being productive. California is still very productive but the massively accelerating size of the public sector isn't something to crow about.

And california has been sucking up federal dollars and growing it's capita more than it's economy very quickly. Notice that it's not on the list of "donor states" anymore like you claim?

Of course the SALT changes, where California residents no longer get a federal tax break on the massive state spending may shift this balance back, but that's a little more complicated than your simple shitposting can handle.

they are so far in the hole that the dirt just keeps falling on their heads. i give them 3 years before that state declares bankruptcy.

Watch for the future battle. This year they expanded medical insurance to illegal aliens for 3 billion dollars. Next year they will claim they really need to change property tax laws or they'll go bankrupt.

Unfortunately there's still enough momentum that it will take more than 3 years.

Its on purpose.(((They))) tighten the economic screws, make living conditions unlivable and the absolute fucking braindead retards who r incapable of learning from past mistakes head to greener pastures and they start the process all over. It's creeping death for what's left of the US

It’s less the activist judges and homeless advocates advocating for brain dead measures. It’s more the clash of cultural attitudes and the very root of drug culture and mental illness crisis.

A very portion of the homeless (at least on the west coast) are in their situation due to drugs or mental illness. Sure, you got runaways, people legitimately in a shit situation in their life, and people who just gave up on modern society. All the people of these examples usually have the capacity or eventual goal to get off the streets sometime down the line or become self sufficient/off grid.
Drug addiction and mental illness are entirely different monsters and while we can argue the multitude of reasons someone falls into drug addiction, these people are as trapped in their affliction as people with mental instabilities. You literally cannot solve the fucking homeless crisis without first solving the drug crisis and mental illness crisis. When you got social and political elites and pop culture promoting a positive drug use attitude, you’re already fucked on the drug problem. Now you have the same fucking hot take on mental illness. Guess what? When you couple that with half baked inefficient ways to tackle both problems by just throwing money at foundations that don’t really do anything except extend the life of these afflicted population, you’re going to get a fucking homeless crisis for decades to come.

The US government should just sell, no GIVE away california to China.

Them Chinks will whip those spics back into shape.

They’re trying their hardest to destroy that narrative. Unless you think medicare coverage for illegals isn’t going to cost anything in a state with 30+ million people.

Fuck off, California, the land, is valuable. It’s the people on it.
