How likely do you think the next democrat president will be to follow through on Pelosi's threat to use an EO to restrict/ban firearms? Pretty much every major Democrat candidate for 2020 is staunchly anti gun, which makes me think they'd try it just on the off chance it'd stick and to score easy political points with their base after a mass shooting. Either way the gun market gets fucked; it sticks and we are AWB 2.0 mode, it gets challenged and overturned and we'd still see a Sandy Vagina II: Turbo Edition run on guns. Makes me think I should get any firearm/ammo/suppressor purchases out of the way before the next election starts heating up.

I'm pretty sure the plan would be to get rid of them through attrition over time, similar to the post '86 machine gun ban. Over time all those MGs will get lost, destroyed in fires/floods, stolen, turned in by kids who inherited them, etc. Not even the democrats are dumb enough to try out and out confiscation.
