I don't know about you but, I pay $420 dollars a month into social security. >80k a year job at late 30's I know for a fucking fact that i will never see a dollar of this social security that i am paying in.
My point with this is, social security is not sustainable and will fail in the near future. Right now, all of our social security that is paid in to the program is going to boomers.
Anyone after the boomer generation, starting with gen z, will not reap any of the benefits from social security. The system will 100% implode before 2040. You cant prove this wrong.
If we all hate boomers, which I know we do, why don't we put our efforts into eliminating social security now?
That's 400$ more in my pocket a month. I like that and I could most definitely use that money.

Social security was the biggest mistake in our country, I think it was implemented in the late 50's? I could be wrong. But, it is a system that is destined to fail. Illegal immigration will be a contributing factor to the downfall of SS. Undocumented workers do not pay into the program

I agree SS was implemented during the Great Depression and is the main cause for the "retirement at 65" thought mentality. Little do people realize that the avg life expectancy those days was around 65 Basically it was implemented in the hope you would die before getting a chance to reclaim any money It is a giant scheme implemented by the government to extract more money
