The Turkish smugglers charge 3000€/head to put them on a raft, drive them 12 nautical miles into Greek waters and abandon them there. They then proceed to destroy the raft and wait for (((rescue))). That's 12k euros for a family of four.Now factor in that most of them have burner phones with preactivated sim cards that work on EU gsm roaming services. Quite a lot of money and organisation for dstitutes running from war zones.

Early on when this crap started there were even interviews with Afghans and Iraqis talking about how the journey through mountainous passages was not only costly but a deadly enterprise too. You were casually hearing stuff like : the trip from Kabul to Berlin costed my family 60k euros and i risked my life multiple times, but it was worth it. If you add the numbers we are talking about billions of Euros. Asking how does that make sense and how is it possible for people on the run to have this cand of cash on hand is the best way to get yourself labeled a racist and be denied access to public forums-tv radio etc-. Noone dares speak a word.

Also a quick note in case you are not aware. Turkey was officially claiming two years ago that there were approx 2 mil of refugees within its borders. Erdogan was literally blackmailing the EU for 6 billion euros lest he would open the floodgates. Somehow, someway, (((assurances))) were given and the migrant flow severly decreased after that.
