Yea but I don't really see it changing anything. Typically there isn't enough of a majority to swing votes/vetoes in favor of the president's decision, and even if they could the politicians are in the pockets of the wealthy, some of whom hold the debt to students. Ergo you will never pass anything to erase that debt, even if the government took on the debt, they would pay it off and thus the interest would no longer apply, and the interest is the juicy part of student loans that make them so terrible for those that take them.
