Russian Air Force gets 1st pair of top notch MiG-35 fighters (VIDEO).
The Russian military has received its first pair of new MiG-35 jets. The multi-role fighter aircraft is set to replace the older generation MiG-29 warplanes and may be later shipped overseas, its manufacturer said. Four more to be delivered this year, the head of the MiG Corporation, Ilya Tarasenko announced on Monday. He added that the jets can be exported overseas, with India being among the possible buyers.
The plane successfully passed its flight trials in 2017, and was presented to the public shortly afterwards. The MiG-35 can track up to 30 airborne targets at a distance of up to 160km (100 miles). The jet can also strike six aerial and four ground targets at once.
Powerful engines, combined with large wings and a lighter fuselage, allow the plane to carry more than 6 tons of weapons and munitions, including all types of Russian-made guided missiles and bombs. The jet’s top performance in combat was also made possible due to the composite materials being used in its design.
Lol the MiG-35 is just a modified F-35 that the US sold to you fags 15m more

whats up with this thread?

Russia can actually design a good looking plane. The cockpits are brutal though. I'd like to see this go head to head with an F15. I'd put my money on the Eagle.
Christopher Collins
Looks like a MIG-29 with another paintjob.

Stop being a fag.

>allow the plane to carry more than 6 tons of weapons and munitions
The actually look way better than any other countries designs (but the US are far superior in avionics)
Andrew Bell
Su-27 is a beast. Very cool aircraft.
Caleb Stewart
I sincerely hope you're trolling and not being serious. You stupid fucking idiot.

>The MiG-35 can track up to 30 airborne targets at a distance of up to 160km (100 miles). >The jet can also strike six aerial targets at once. sweet, they finally caught up with the F-14 and its 1970s radar

explain to a brainlet,I get that the F-35 has hate from the cost, but their idea of stealth and super long range fighting seems pretty much how it would go down. When you can fire a missile from miles away at a tiny speck on the HUD, dogfights like in top gun are long gone. Having VTOL for carriers looks pretty useful, harriers are a bit dated for combat missions now, so having a newer replacement seems like a good idea too. If only it wasn't so fucking expensive
Grayson Brown
u can't compare one is made for air superiority while the other is best suited for close combat and for intercepting enemy
The F35 is deadly user. It's an expensive bitch though and they're still working out the kinks. There are claims that it doesn't manouver as well as the classics but it wasn't designes for furball dogfights. You're dead long before that happens.

Yea but my dick is still bigger

One of the biggest issues with the F35 is it was suppose to be everything in 1 jet. I understand trying to cut down on the number of different aircraft in operation but trying to make 1 jet have 3 versions probably wasn't the best idea. F-35A - Airforce version, fixed wings, smallest and lightest version because it doesn't need all the other crap F-35B - VTOL version, loses a bunch of fuel (which means range) so they could put in the VTOL flight equipment F-35C - Navy version with traditional tail arrest hook and folding wings for carrier storage, bigger wings for better low speed stability for carrier operation, heavy duty landing gear for carrier landing. Adapting 1 air frame for all that bs is a big reason why it cost so much to develop

>how piss tastes like Foreign nigger, I shall help you. Pick one of the following, but not both. >how piss tastes >what piss tastes like

>rt
ok fine then go to war with us lol
Noah Wright
>Adapting 1 air frame for all that bs is a big reason why it cost so much to develop ok that makes sense, still kinda a lot though
Evan Richardson
>not allying with them, us and the japs and having all 4 going to war against china ree
The missile itself was accutually fairly well designed, the reason it has such a bad rep now is because of quality control issues with the AIM-54A-47 most of these issues were ironed out by the MK-60 and then even more so with the 54C, but it was to late to save its reputation. Still though if you look at its service record with the IRIAF during the iran iraq war, even then the A model still had some impressive performance.

The 5 stages of Russian wunderwaffe:
Stage 1: The "Leak". NEW INVINCIBLE SUPERWEAPON """leaked""" to press
Stage 2: The Reaction. Media & channers all hail the weapon as an invincible doomsday device that the West stands no chance against. Lots of "sky is falling" and declarations of Russian resurgence.
Stage 3: The Interim. Stories start to leak out regarding issues and slowed development. Doesn't get much notice.
Stage 4: The Downgrade. Russia quietly states less will be built than previously announced, or that the device will have less capabilities than previously thought.
Stage 5: The Cancellation. Russia quietly cancels the device. Stage 1 for new device few months later.
Skyborg program, BAE Taranis Use the drones as wingmen/hit takers, but of course there's always the chance they could be jammed/hacked so have real pilots too. Imagine firing at a target and a few drones flying either side also fire too
Mason Lopez
Looks like an F16 with some improvements.
Liam Reed
Yeah, Russian are kike-slave memes.

What's wrong with the laser thing? It's already demonstrated to work
Russians went with an advanced EM warfare package rather than stealth designs. While we showed off all our best new toys killing sand niggers our primary rivals (Russia and China) saw what we had and developed countermeasures at a fraction of the cost.
The philosophy with the new Russian Jets is to jam the fuck out of our radar systems (that we never keep secret) so we can't lock onto their aircraft. It's really a pretty good idea, rather than trying to build a stealth aircraft industry from the ground up.
