The real reason why they cancelled the airstrike was because their cyberattack on Iranian AA defences failed. They geared up for a strike, asked the NSA to disable their AA, the cyberattack failed to do that, the amount of jets lost with the AA still in play would have been significant, so they cancelled.

Russia and China wouldn't do anything, unless and until US forces became bogged down. Both states are opportunists - they're going to act in their best interest, not in Iran's best interest.
The more important factor to consider, is that although they're lacking in equipment compared to the US, Iran has a very large military force, well-trained and experienced in defensive and guerrilla tactics in mountainous terrain, with many allied non-state actors in the region as well.
Iran does not have resources to project force outside of the region, but any conventional invasion onto Iranian soil would be a disaster; they're too well prepared.
Of course America could decimate Iran, if we were willing to simply scorch the earth, and bomb them into destruction from afar. but no real American wants that - only the Jews and Zionists do.
Any non-nuclear conflict with Iran would be a disaster far worse than Iraq or Vietnam.
