It's fucking America home of the American dream. Anyone that works fast food their whole life or Walmart or wherever are simply not taking advantage of what America has to offer. Those jobs are meant to be in between jobs, until you find an actual career or go to school to get an education to get a career. There is no place easier to make it in the world then America in terms of work. If you can educate your self in pretty much any skill you can be compensated higher than any place in the world for that skill.

My suggestion is you keep applying for Costco. You want a low skilled menial labor job to take care you and there is only a few companies that do.

If grocery stores and walmarts disappeared then industrious people would build wooden display cases, drive out too farms and bring the food back, sell it for profit. I work for Lidl in the UK as an area manager getting about 60k, company audi and I started by stacking the shelves in the shop, getting £9 an hour, going on a checkout if there's some congestion, and unpacking shit that's been delivered.
