There are far more theological differences between Islam and Christiantiy. And muslims think that Jesus Christ was not the Son (God) but a mere prophet. That alone is heresy. Jesus Christ is both both divine and human, this is known in Christian theology as Hypostatic union. It was because of His divine self that they couldn't kill Him, thus why He died by choice (Matthew 27:50). He was not just a human either, mind you. He was both divine and human; yet Christ is not two, but one. Jesus Christ (the Son/God) came to save us from our sins, and just as a man brought sin and death into the world, it needed to be removed by a man. Hence why he is called the Last Adam (1 Corinthians 15:45), who came to succeed where the first Adam had failed in keeping the law of God. Jesus had to do what Adam failed to do in order to fulfil the required sinless life of perfection. Jesus did this so that His righteousness could be transferred to those who put their faith in Him for the forgiveness of sins (2 Corinthians 5:21; Philippians 3:9). And in order to do that, He had to be a man and not just divine.
