But what's the argument for Yahweh's existence? A lot of the OT stuff just seems like a mix of stolen stories from other cultures and historical records saying what happened to the Israelites, while making it seem like everything good or bad happened to them because of God. The bible is a guidebook to life. You're not supposed to actually BELIEVE the stories. Most of them are metaphorical and/or literal fairy tales to make vast amounts of people live in a relatively civil way. Follow the "rules" but don't believe in the stories.
