Fuck up the CPC conversion data for advertisers, fuck up them figuring out what kinda person you are on youtube based on what the algorithm judges your viewing habits, or your search history, or the content of your emails. But a more effective approach would be to automate the disinformation. If uBlock was more active than passive, it's current adoption numbers would be sufficient to fuck up the metric; it'll be just enough to decrease the statistical significance below the coveted 95% mark and make virtually most models considered unreliable to statisticians.

I think people need to calm down with being anti-semitic. A lot of Jews feel the same way as us about Google, Trump, etc. The problem is the Reform Jews, which are very liberal, tend to be the popular ones, like in the media. You don't see many Orthodox Jews, who are conservative. I really feel like people are misguided by racism, when they actually hate liberals. I've also noticed that a lot of Google results come from news or opinion sites. Like yesterday I looked up an addon for World of Warcraft called "recount", and guess what came up all over the first few results, articles from 2016 about recounting ballots in places like Florida from CNN and other liberal news sites. It's just a bad search engine at this point.

The one feature about google that I like is how it autocorrects my search if I misspell a word. I am a lazy typist so if I misspell a name or word it is very annoying to retype it. If duckduckgo (or somebody else if there is a better alternative) did this better I would have no reason to use google ever. Also I dont like how google now has its own "in house" sources for things. The little information bars at the top of searches needlessly clutter the results page and make it hard to find information on what im looking for. A good google alternative is something the internet really needs.

I feel like Startpage does a decent job as I type like that too, but like I said, it's essentially a proxy for Google. I don't trust DuckDuckGo because the owner has a shady history of selling user data in a previous project. Anyway, it's not just Google Search that's the problem. The real problem is escaping the Google ecosystem which is becoming ubiquitous (Android, email, even "smart" cities now, etc).

And let's not forget about self driving cars, Google Earth... It's crazy.

There is hope for Android because they are trying to make the OS less dependent on specific products to run on, so it will be more like Linux where you can install on any machine without the manufacturers needing to write their own custom drivers or whatever so it works with their products. This could make it easier for custom, open source, Android-based flavors like it is with Linux, that can break free from Google.
