Second:
A body with waterlogged lungs is roughly the same density as water. This can vary a lot depending on the circumstances of the drowning and the contents of the bowels. A body does not have to be distended from decomposition to be lighter than the water in the Rio Grande.
You'd be surprised by how "normal" a person can look even many hours after death as well. Suspension in warmish water can actually make you look "fresh" for longer compared to what you'd see in a cooled morgue for example.
Interestingly, the OP suggests that they were shot rather than drowned. I guess he thinks a blood-draining gunshot allows a body to maintain a healthy complexion where drowning doesn't?
The MSM are doubtless using and abusing these two Salvadorans who died in Mexico, but the question is not whether they drowned in that river or not.
