IDK man I never got the "alcohol makes you relax" thing, it only ever amplified whatever mood I had at the time, so if I'm relaxed yeah I'll have some, but if I'm stressed the last fucking thing I want is booze.

i'll never get that, it is definitely relaxing problem is you want to be stressed sometimes because it helps you focus. so while a major drawback to performing seems to be nerves, having a drink beforehand would make it so i couldn't focus as much
