Its evolution. Survival behaviors that identify you with your group so that you will protect your family/tribe/clan/village.
Humans who had group survival behaviors lived to pass on their genes when groups competed for resources.
Humans who did not have group survival behaviors did not live to pass on their genes.
Groups without strong identification were wiped out when in competition. Groups with strong identification of its members survived and made more babies with strong group identification, which passed the genes down to theirs etc etc.

The majority of people are also braindead normies who care about the most trite and menial things of human existence.
