Your statistic is misleading. Note that the left is fractured into a large number of small parties. The location of the "median party" shifts left every time another petty small party is added on the left.
On the right, people work together, so there are fewer parties on the right.
If each person in the republican party declared themself a party of one, but kept the same politics, the "median party" would be the republican party.

Anyway, the answer is that none of the countries the USA is compared to actually matter. Their defense is wholly subsidized by the United States. "Median" party means little, because in most European nations the left is hella fractured and works in tenuous coalitions of many parties, while the right is more consolidated (generally, not always).
