Hell is not real.

To claim that he will or he will not is the sin of presumption. He is God's to judge. We know of his sins but we know not if his heart is repentant. What he did was demonic though.

The new testament is clear, we should bless our enemies. If they ask for water, we should give them water, if they ask for food, we should feed them. If they seek shelter, we should provide for them. God says that in doing so it will heap coals onto their already burning sin. Only God punishes people. Christians are only commanded to love others and spread the good news. That is it. You cannot justify murdering or killing people proactively when their only crime is a different system of belief.

The crusades were justified as military protection for pilgrims who were being harassed by the Seljuk Turks (and clients) after centuries of having been protected by the Caliphs (and clients). As a form of pilgrimage itself, crusading was considered penance for sins just like going to Compostela or numerous other holy sites.

The Petrine office is not heretical and it teaches sound doctrine. This has always been true and history sides with the Roman Catholic Church. It is and always was a church made of sinners in need of salvation though. Even if it is Christ's church on earth, it is still made up of sinners, to expect it to be perfect before the return of Our Lord is in fact heresy. Men can not make Heaven on earth.

All followers are flawed, however in regards to Catholicism, it is the practice and teachings that are wrong. You need to join the Church of Christ or risk eternal damnation.

If it were, he would have never allowed such a thing to have known existence in the first place, and he certainly wouldn't let it continue existing in its madness and pain for eternity. God is LOVE.
