Putin’s and Pence’s emergency

>research nuclear submarine
>no scientist on it
>everybody on board are high-ranking military members
>the sub has unique design where all sections are spherical in shapes
>used to study the arctic ocean floor
Is it the begging of Evangelion?

Why would the need barbed wire in a communist utopia?

Why the fuck do you need 7 colonels out of 19 people on a research boat?

quick rundown? what is that?

A 'explosion' on a Russian submarine has left 14 people dead.

The blaze broke out on the Losharik submarine, an AS-12, in Russian waters and an investigation into the incident has been launched, according to the country's Ministry of Defense.

The apparatus was studying the bottom of the oceans in the interests of the Russian Navy.

>25 crew members, all high ranking officers
>14 dead, 3 injured

F

Any possibility it could have been attacked?

they still have niggers in russia

The spheres are likely watertight compartments. The shape is necessary for deep submergence, to even out the pressure gradient.

Might be the sub that had the fire.

Test

Oh my...what is the submarine doing in the middle of the forrest. Did the ayyliens put it there.

Russian deep water research sub. Used for ocean floor research and spying, and can dive to 1000+ meters (hence the cylindrical pressure hulls).

I'm not buying the public story, and don't see how the sub is relevant enough to warrant US/EU/RUS immediate action. This is the kind of incident that gets lumped into a daily report, not a "drop whatever your doing" kind of geopolitical incident.

Totally.

Subs are used to tamper with and tap undersea cables and sonar listening stations. Maybe they found an American device on the sea floor. Maybe that device was boobytrapped.

There are tunnels...

Nah no way it happend in Russian waters, Twitter and news websites would have blown up by headlines if such a thing happend that i can assure you.
I bet it happend due to an electrical failure that ignited a fire which is one of the most dangerous things that can happen on subs/ships/planes.

with bridges

I'm going with this. Something way bigger is going on behind the scenes.

youtu.be/t1bzqjoZyeQ

It's the Losharik, a one-off mini nuclear spy sub.
It can be used to tap/sabotage/fix undersea cables, service deep-water surveillance devices, etc.

Pay grade, probably.

Intel officers

The submarine attaches to the bottom of another sub (which happens to be Russia's doomsday ship).

I put my bet on a fucked up oxygen generator.

Not like the pressure outside would kill them or anything. Also they would be able to swim all way back right? Every human can swim from a little deep water to surface.

This is what it was named after.

It's a "drop everything" problem if the sub has sunk. Then you've got to mount a rescue as soon as possible, the chances of the crew surviving decrease dramatically with time.

A lot of news is like this, cover stories for shitty nefarious shit.

And look at that, wikijudea already has an article about it.

en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Russian_submarine_Losharik#2019_fire

>A fire broke out on the vessel on 1 July 2019 whilst it was taking underwater measurements of the sea floor in Russian territorial waters. Fourteen of the crew were killed by inhalation of smoke or toxic fumes.[7][8] The fire, which broke out at around 8.30pm local time, was extinguished by the surviving crew.[8][9] The vessel was later towed to the Russian Northern Fleet base at Severomorsk.[9] The incident was the worst loss of life on a Russian submarine since the 2008 K-152 Nerpa accident which killed 20 men.

Do you suppose the Russians want to blame the fire on the US Navy?

weird day
submarine+satellite+bunkers+skykings

one of each is just a comfy bred, all of them together makes for quite a big happening.

From 1000 feet down? They'd be dead the minute they were in the water. The body can't tolerate the pressures at 400 feet, which is the extreme limit for free diving. Your chest would implode immediately. Anything below 500 feet is death if there's a problem with the air vessel you're traveling in.
That, and you have to ascend very slowly from depths of a couple hundred feet, or you get decompression sickness.
Deep water is serious shit.

>high-ranking military members
Give source.

A bathysphere just flew over my house!

Isn't loshad a horse? So is losharik a kinda nickname for a little horse thing?

No one knows for sure but the Losharik is perhaps the deepest diving military submarine in the world. It can't dive the Mariana Trench, but it can probably reach every last square inch of Russia's territorial seas.

Incidentally the idea of using multiple spherical pressure hulls isn't new. There was an old show called The Man From Atlantis where the bad guys (and then the good guys) use a submarine like this.

Attached: CetaceanSubmarineManFromAtlantis.jpg (400x300, 14K)

It was probably sabotaged by Israel.
Israel just had a satellite shot down btw. Not many countries have that kind of capability. Iran certainly doesn't.

Its probably just cheap and faulty russian military equipment. nothing new

Well you fellas were about overdue for your once a decade submarine disaster, good to see you’re back on schedule

Fucking use a meme flag next time. You're embarrassing us.

>Iran has a space program that's better than most nations
Laughably untrue.
>and their missile technology is fairly mature
Most of their vaunted missile tech is pure rumor, or based on adapted soviet/scud builds. Untested, and "fairly mature' is being extremely generous. Considering during an actual WAR they had to buy scuds from Libya and other countries, their "fairly mature" missile platform seems somewhat challenged.

Looks like the research vessel is disguised as a military submarine.
At least paint it yellow lmao!

I know
I know I've left you down

Shit Russian equipment failing isn't anything new.
en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Kursk_submarine_disaster

You fucking retards, he is referring to the NSA sockpuppet project.

fun fact: dying from "smoke inhalation" usually means breathing literal flames because you're on fire and burning your airway from the inside. Corpses probably don't have recognisable faces anymore

That war was thirty years ago. We know that they have Russian S-300s and are in negotiation for S-400s (might already have them). They have also put a live monkey, turtle, and hamster into orbit with their own domestically produced rockets. Considering that most nations on Earth have no space program whatsoever, they're ahead of most nations. Then you have to remember that the Kármán line designates 100 km as the edge of space, and the S-400 has a service ceiling of 185 km and it starts looking a lot more like Iran could shoot down satellites under some circumstances.

>Why the fuck do you need 7 colonels out of 19 people on a research boat?
you ordered them there so you could off them

was it lucky or were they saboteurs

or were they attacked by outside sources
