Canada is Collapsing $10 celery

>Rising Food Prices Worry 90% of Canadians as Federal Election Nears

>TORONTO, June 17, 2019 /CNW/ - Rising food prices worry nearly 9 in 10 Canadians ahead of the upcoming federal election, according to a major new opinion poll released today (Tuesday). Fear of rising food prices is consistent across all regions, demographic groups, and political parties.

>Abacus CEO David Coletto noted "affordability anxiety"2 is a defining issue in the upcoming federal election. Coletto commented: "Across every province, demographic group, and political tribe - Canadians are worried about keeping up with the cost of living. Food prices are an important part of that equation, and voters are looking to politicians for concrete solutions."

Food doms in total utter panic as food prices are the #1 election issue this fall. Too bad Canadians are blinded by the dichotomy of false choice: vote for the Conservatives and they will lower food costs. Yet the CPC are right in the pockets of the Cheesa Nostra, Beef Barrons, Ouef Outfit and the Milk Mafia. One must remember when Mad Max was the clear favourite to win the CPC leadership race, only to be beaten by surprise winner Andrew Scheer, who celebrated his win by drinking a jug of Saputo-owned Nielson's 2% milk, as a shout out to the food doms.

The only party that would dismantle supply management, resulting in 300-1000% food prices for meat, cheese, milk, eggs and bread, is the People's Party of Mad Max. But Trudeau has bought the media with a $600M bribe-- resulting in near total censure of Mad Max and only favourable coverage of Trudeau and the food doms.

They literally cannot. A basic bitch caesar salad (without chicken) costs $14.

How in the fuck is it possible that a small salad costs $14? This isn't a 3-star Michellin star restaurant in the financial district of Tokyo.

Leafs have the most fresh water lakes on earth. Their fish prices have to be low. Any clue what they are?

Notice how no news sites talked about the old Canadian tradition of BBQ'ing on Canada day? Leafs used to be known for firing up the grill on a daily basis, even in the dead of winter.

But with rib eye steak costing over $75/kg now, that's a thing of the past.

I don't get it, why are food prices going to shit? I'm an American and I can still afford to shovel my face with food for cheap.

Pretty soon leafs will be crossing the border for food like we cross the border for prescription drugs.

Leafs smuggle in meat and cheese from the USA. It's a national tradition. If you get caught expect heavy jail sentences mandated by the food doms

There's no way that's expensive, they're practically swimming in it.

1. Our dollar is worth around half an American dollar. When we pay $10 for a 5 pack of chicken breast, it works out to around $6 American.

2. Most of these pictures are Sobeys. Thats the equivalent of the average American shopping at trader joes for everything. Walmart and low end grocery retailers like food basics and no frills have prices 30% to 50% lower then premium grocery stores on typically everything.

3. The minimum wage in Canada's most populous province was just set at $15. Most provinces have a min of around $10. Employment laws also mean employers pay around an additional 50% of the wage directly to the government. The effective minimum wage in Ontario is 21$ an hour. Inflation and higher retail prices are a natural consequence of this.

doing gods work lads, thank you for giving me hope for this gay ass planet

Sure. In this purely hypothetical scenario it'd be a piece of cake. Local coffee roaster does a fantastic Columbian french roast. I'll see to it that a couple pounds worth is covering the shipment.

i honestly can't believe this at all. green peppers cost $0.92 per pound here

THEY ARE FIREWALLING THEIR PRICES OFF

just post the in store prices so we can put an end t this

Restaurant prices and grocery store prices are totally separate

If you mean to tell me you can't pick up a caesar salad from an Aldi for under 2 euros you must be insane. If something like cost 14 euros Hitler would warp in a wormhole from 1939 and gas the food doms

Attached: canada faggot loonie.jpg (480x360, 45K)

>inflation
>real
i see your school teachers done a number on you

I bought 2 giant ass rib eyes, a rack of ribs, and 4 ears of fresh picked corn for $20 last night.

Holy shit. That's pretty funny. Americans sell drugs, (prescription and hard drugs) to make money and Canadians sell meat and cheese.

I can probably get a 10lb cheese wheel at a farmers market for like 30$. Not a bad profit. Too bad I am not close to the border.

The last Ontario caught fish I bought was 1 fillet of pickerel, it cost me $12

>i honestly can't believe this at all

Believe.

oh shit, is my english that bad ? i meant to say cook in a kitchen and prepare salads on a regular, our casear costs 14€ too (€=/=$ i know, you get the idea )

Well. I mean. We could ship it to a third party to cross the border. Those human trafficking general types prolly know a guy or two.

Our Ontario taxes are absurd though, I'm in Toronto and I just read an article this morning someone making 100k per year still can't afford to own a home here.

Please enlighten me on Lebanon, my Gf is from Beirut and her family is still all there, I've been thinking of trying to move out of here to there

Don't do it, you will be paid peanuts around 1k US a month, and all of that will go towards rent.
Literally zimbabwe level lifestyle. I'm leaving this shithole for a reason.

Attached: ca.png (1290x690, 1.56M)

1€ = $1.13 current rate.

$10-15 is normal for a large caesar salad, restaurants have labour costs, benefits, advertising, power costs, etc. I once paid $30 for a peppermint mojito at a 1920s bar in Columbus Circle.

but yes it's just some lettuce, croutons, bit of cheese and caesar dressing. Literally a bit of lettuce. And that's $14 in a grocery store. That also goes for greek and garden salads too.

>She already has family here so getting sponsored isn't an issue for her
Bullshit. She can only be sponsored by her parents or spouse, siblings and cousins won't cut it unless she's under 18.
You need to look into it, user. Trust me, it's very common here. Women in 3rd world countries, who marry or date foreigners are 100% in it for the greencard/PR/citizenship.

I'm giving you this advice as a friend. The lifestyle you will get for 4k, will not make you happy. You will live in a country with no 24/7 electricity, water or gas.
There is no nature, no nothing. It's a bunch of commie blocks, where people are worked to death.
It's like living in China or India, why would you willingly do that to yourself?

Look at these pathetic leafs in the other thread. They think in-store prices are a psyop.

Just post the in store prices leaf and there will be an end to it.

can you show your flag

celery

what's your take on this "lebanese entrepreneur"?

>be anti-islam activist
>notice a "lebanese entrepreneur" opened shit-tier kebab shop named "Paramount Fine Foods" a few years back
>literally a kebab shop serving schwarma dishes and wraps, which are fucking everywhere in canada already
>somehow goes from 1 store to 40 stores despite making barely any money or losing money, no bank is going to bankroll a fucking kebab shop
>starts opening stores in the middle east, africa, usa etc
>has 60 locations in 10 years selling kebabs
>is prolific "donor" to liberal party of canada and to islamic "charities"
>turns out he is from buttfuck nowhere lebanon village with population of 3,000, which is the Hezbollah HQ and his family is friends with former Hezbollah Supreme Commander
>supposed "lebanese entrepreneur" aka Hezbollah Money Launderer sues you for defamation, claims your terrorist accusations resulted in him losing a franchising deal in Dubai to a mystery investor and mystery company
>you are eager to go to trial for discovery to expose this bullshit lie and subpoena financial records
>hezbollah nigger submits some motion to skip the trial and just render a judgement
>judge agrees, skips trial and discovery, takes everything submitted by hezbollah money launderer as fact
>orders you to pay $2.5M to hezbollah money launderer for islamophobia for pointing out nobody knows where his money comes from and that he is under investigation by the CIA and CSIS

Basically a terrorist Muslim money launderer accused someone of Islamophobia, sued for $2.5M, somehow got the judge to skip a trial and won with the judge taking every lie he made up as fact and called the person an Islamophobe and grave danger to society.

This is now being run 24/7 on the Canadian media and leafs are celebrating.

I think your missing a decimal point.

that's more likely than $1 celery in canada

Cmon man, nobody actually eats celery except starving irish people in like the 18th century.

Oh and he's also a gemologist specializing in diamonds and travelled around the world prior to starting "Paramount Fine Foods"

He's also BFF's with Trudeau

Attached: trudeau paramount wtf.png (825x759, 701K)

What an absolute cunt, In leb we have Christian towns that will not sell/rent Muslims to retain its identity but, they know that these " progressive " western countries will roll over when they pull out their amazing islamophobe/racism card.

We eat plenty in the south. Fuck your Yankee guts stranger.

Ooooff. Well, he gamed the system. I don't know how the west got so soft, it's really rather bizzare.
I can tell you just by his last name that he's connected to Hezbollah. Fakih, is one of the more prominent families in Lebanon, they're all employed or connected someway or another to the Hezb.
With all the money leafs spend on refugees and foreign aid, how about putting some of that money into background checks?
You could have easily prevented this situation by not letting in such a person to begin with, since the Hezb is listed as an international terrorist organization.

He's from Tairdebba, know anything about it?

>acdemocracy.org/mohamad-fakih-trudeaus-most-valuable-political-asset/

Attached: mohammad fakih trudeau.jpg (620x330, 31K)

Lmao I have talked with this guy before, their shish taouk is crazy

Trudeau is a literal terrorist in every sense of the word. He openly praises ISIS fighters, let's them back into Canada without prosecuting them (there are at least 200+ ISIS fighters who have returned to Canada, literally abetting terrorists), etc.

He also let ISIS use Canadian military hospitals for their wounded, healed the soldiers then let them free so they could kill more Canadian etc soldiers. That's the literal definition of treason

Attached: trudeau isis powerful voice.png (656x598, 627K)

can't say I have, but all you really need to know is that he is most likely connected with hezb..ever since they got involved in the syrian war and America started throwing sanctions at Iran, the money coming in is drying up so I'm not surprised if this guy is doing his part of the funding. I also think Trudeau is an absolute ballsack and a massive traitor, but Hezb and Isis are not what you would consider friends, so I really don't know what is going on with his selection of friends.

It's literally shit-tier, the place is empty most of the time yet somehow on paper they're making money

>acdemocracy.org/mohamad-fakih-trudeaus-most-valuable-political-asset/

>Born in Tairdebba, the small Shiite village in south Lebanon – home also to Imad Mughniyeh, former Hezbollah Chief Commander – Mohamad Fakih has managed skillfully to translate his meteoric business success to political power by establishing close relationship not only with Canada’s prime minister Justin Trudeau, but also with other Liberal ministers, members of Parliament and local politicians.

>The Lebanese media in Arabic reported (see also here and here) that Lamoureux visited the Red Cross mobile clinic in Tairdebba a small Shiite village in south Lebanon, 83 km south of Beirut, and met with its mayor Hussein Sa’ad (حسين سعد). Tairdebba is a small village with 6,000 people. The biggest families are Fakih and Mughniyeh. If the name sounds familar, it should be. Imad Mughniyeh, former Hezbollah Chief Commander, was born and lived in this village.

>After Mughniyeh’s assassination in 2008, this village has become known as strongly affiliated with Hezbollah. Members of Mughniyeh and Fakih clans served as military operatives in the ranks of Hezbollah, and the mayor Hussein Sa’ad does not hide his supporting of Hezbollah. Moreover, Hezbollah regularly holds public events in Tairdebba, including ceremonies in commemoration of Imad Mughniyeh and other Hezbollah operatives (“martyrs”). And a community centre in Tairdebba named after Imad Mughniyeh is used also by Hezbollah.

Absolutely start growing food now

No that would be Michigan. Honorable leafs need to come down here NOW..help me tend my gardens. I'll pay you in eggs and fresh produce

Leave Canada alone.

Celery is the secret ingredient in the best salsas, stews, sauces, so many things.. What you have said was profoundly stupid. Have you ever made ANYTHING from scratch

I only use celery for stews so im good.

it's not just celery you cant afford anymore

Stop posting this shit

can someone explain to me how this is possible? why is the food over there so expensive yet in the neighboring USA it's like 2-3x lower?

Post pantry. I bet its empty because you cant afford food

it's like east germany vs west germany

Effective min wage $21? What the fuck are you talking about? Its $14 in Ont. - period, hard stop. I dont get a cent more.

The exchange is about 73 cents on the dollar, not half. And I literally just shopped at zehrs, where celery is $6.

Why are DEFENDING this fucked system? Are you working for the food industry? Government? Makes no sense

The Canadian government operates under a different economic system. Unlike the US, Canada not only allows monopolies, but endorses them. This is decades old.

It was done first as a protective measure against cheap US imports. The truth is that most things in Canada have always been more expensive bc of tariffs and monopolies. This was usually either hidden or muffled. But now w/ global connectivity, it's getting impossible to keep the prices secret.

Any Canadian who comes on here to defend expensive milk, cheese, meat, and celery deserves all the ridicule he's heaped with. The monopoly system that caused this is broken. It needs to be reformed.
