You go and take a course that teaches you how to handle guns safely. Then you take a psych test. Then you go to the police with all that and get your permit. After that you can buy whatever you want that isn't illegal for civilians completely (like automatic guns for example)

Swords on the left are blunt. Ones on the right are sharp. The thing with swords is that they don't need to be very sharp to be effective and having a razor's edge is actually detrimental. The edge will curl in on itself and chip much more easily and ruin the cutting ability as opposed to a wider bevel which is much more durable while only sacrificing a little bit of cutting potential.
To answer your question, I've killed my students many times with trainers and wasters. Never been in a situation where I've needed one of my weapons for self defense, North Dakota is one of the safest territories in the world if you don't factor in the weather.

It is one of the earliest semi auto rifles. A Remington Model 8. It's got a crazy action. There is a sleeve surrounding the barrel with a large spring wrapped around the inside. When fired the barrel and bolt both travel backwards. Once it reaches its threshold the barrel separates from the bolt and moves back into its forward position. While the bolt continues backward ejecting the spent cartridge. Then the bolt travels forward again feeding another round into the chamber. Also, I'm pretty sure Mikhail Kalashnikov copied this rifle's safety lever for the ak47. At least according to my head canon.

Yep yep. That second one is a Savage 99 chambered in .300 savage. .300sav was meant to bridge the gap between .308 and .30-06 ballistically. The rifle itself has a pretty interesting magazine. Most levergats have a tube magazine running under the barrel similar to many shotguns, the Savage 99 has an internal rotary magazine which allows it to be chambered in calibers that favor spitzer bullets. Which was a major factor in its design and development. Repeaters of the time couldn't be loaded with spitzer bullets because of the risk of the pointed bullet setting off the round in front of it. Savage Arms overcame this by developing a lever action revolver rifle. And the coolest thing about this rifle, in my opinion, is that it has an ammo counter on the left side of the receiver. The one I have also has a pretty cool safety feature. If there is a round chambered there's a little stud that pops up on top of the receiver. This stud only pops up if a round is actually chambered and in battery.

It was great to shoot but I didn't do proper research when I bought it. Entire reason I picked it up was to tacticool it out. It wasn't until after I brought it home and read the manual that I learned of H&K's list of approved suppressors that of course didn't actually list the approved suppressors. Since I didn't want to risk voiding my lifetime warranty on a $1.5k pistol I emailed H&K to find what suppressors are "H&K Approved". Turns out that after nearly 20 years on the market H&K has only ever approved 2 suppressors for it. The Knight's Armament Company suppressor that was designed alongside the pistol for SOCOM, and Bernthal Thomet's suppressor from when the Mk23 was first opened up to the civilian market. So I sold it and bought some swords and ammo.

Given their interest I would hope you guys would have a lobby group or something to help preserve your right to self defense. I feel like the migrant crisis might be opening people's eyes to the importance of self defense and the absolute boon that a ccw gives a person in a life or death defensive situation. At least, I hope.
