The real question for the long term is how does an unfunded company provide a free video service?
Youtube only exists because it doesn't need to run a profit, just backup the consensus, so they will always be quick to roll over. If an alternative is to exist it will have to cover expenses and then some. BitTorrent tech and crypto are most likely going to be the keys to that.

Searching for this I could not find it, regardless of the query used. I had to use a link another had provided to get here. Every comment I make is flagged for approval, and rarely gets approved, it is almost a certainty that no one will ever see this comment (other than the clone I made on dissenter).
