This Morning I woke up to see that a black woman was cast to play Ariel. Whatever, Hollywood being Hollywood. Then I went over my girlfriend's house, she made me my favorite food. It was great. We watched a few movies and afterward, we went to the local fireworks show and had fried Oreos. The senator was there and he did a count down for the fireworks. Sitting there with my girlfriend I realized, there were no American Flags anywhere, the Senator did not say "Happy 4th or July" or "Happy Independence Day". Nothing. Last year they played the National Anthem, not this year. The DJ played about 12 songs in a row of Spanish music, and lastly, my girlfriend and I were the only two white people sitting within a 20-foot radius. Everyone around us was speaking Hindu or Spanish. During the fireworks, the song "final countdown" came on and I felt sad. Really sad. After my girlfriend and I walked back to her house. This wasn't the 4th of July I remember growing up with. This was sad. This was the end. I am not going to the firework show or any kind of celebration in the near future. Call me a pussy or whatever, it doesn't matter. Happy 4th or July everyone. Goodnight.

I agree, it’s been over for a long time but it’s gotten really bad in the last 20 years. Except for the small burst of patriotism after 9/11 there has been a steady decline in celebration. It’s becoming like every other American holiday, another reason to get drunk and stuff our faces with a bunch of shit food. The only way to start over is to have a war, or a pandemic illness wipe out massive numbers of people in metropolitan areas. We need to lose at least 150 million. To many lazy fucks who won’t work, and way too many “educated” morons who think they know what’s best for everyone. People from rual areas would do a much better job running the country without urban/suburban peoples input. Then we take a pre-WW1 isolationist position in the world. No more aid, no more defense for countries that hate us. That’s the only way I see this country sticking around.
The Indians are the fucking worst. They are entitled and when one moves in 5000 follow. There are 6 Indian temples in a 50 mile radius of my house.
They want minorities because they are easier to control. Literally make a movie with a minority and they will vote for you forever. I hope to move to somewhere else to buy a few years with my girlfriend before it really is over.
