I want to say no because large swathes of it are shitholes, but then again that's true for America as well but who's not going to call America a first world country? Whether China is a first world country or not it will soon enough be the top dog on every metric.

In the Cities, pretty much yes, in the countryside the farmers are still poor but their lives improve every year. The cities are really high tech these days, and the infrastructure is quite good. Comparatively, the West is falling apart and filling up with low IQ migrants who will never be able to sustain civilization. I'm really surprised at the development. Even is obscure backwaters, the people are fat and happy. Thing is, Chinese work hard all day long and so after 20-30 years, a lot of shit gets done.
