How am I supposed to own land if I have to pay my greedy landlord 3/4 of my paycheck? Thinking about other options. Are campers redpilled? Can I get out of debt and own land if I own a camper and live in it for 5 years?
Should I get a camper?

that is not worth 16k. some boomer is trying to rip you off.
excellent condition? thing looks like its been sitting in a hot garage for 25 years
Not that camper, and not for this price.
Just get a van. One built this century
Yes I can buy one in better condition for under $10k. Just posted as an example
Possibly, but not that one.
>how can I stop being jewed
>i’ll just live in a car
Good goy
get a van for 7k with 50k miles ford 2004
The best thing you can do it build your own using a work van. It takes work and planning to get the right layout, but you'll be so much happier
Get a a coachmen style camper. Can find them on the regular for under $10k. Even closer to $5k with minimal restoration needed. If you plan on living for an extended period you’ll appreciate the slightly larger space. Plus generator is built into the main fuel line so boondocking is a breeze.
Got any examples?
>Own land
>Pay landlord
I don't think you've thought this all the way through.
What he means is, he can't afford to own land if all his money is being spent on the land (not owned by him) he currently lives on.
Are you searching Richmond craigslist? Or was that just a random example? I saw a 70s in good running condition go for $5k a month ago. I’ll see if I can link you some examples.
Are you able to do basic engine maintenance/work under the car yourself? Can you do basic carpentry/kitchen repair? This all comes into consideration
No and no
And yes I'm looking in Richmond
Pic related is the style I was thinking in my head. Obviously an older one will look different but similar style.
Hers one from Richmond CL that’s larger but still a good deal:

Alternatively if you don’t have a tow-worthy vehicle get one and a tow-behind trailer. Very convenient if you decide to travel within this timeframe of minimalist living. One engine to maintain, leave the trailer and run errands or whatever. Just be cognizant of space necessities once you’re 3 months+ into this endeavor and try to work it out before diving in. Lastly, a YMCA membership goes a long way for occasional showers in a a space that’s not confined like the travel trailer. You’ll also want a source for water filling and dumping. Americamps allows it for a small fee, better off having a rotating list of friends who’ll let you fill but dumping will be a harder issue. You have lots of research into this lifestyle, LOTS to consider, but it is very doable.
Also for CL look in cities that have lot of transient travelers or camping. Charlottesville, Norfolk, Raleigh, Asheville (if they have a CL), and maybe up into Pennsylvania if willing to travel that far to pickup, just be wary of body rust on a PA vehicle
That looks like it uses a shit ton of gas. I have to move it to a different spot everyday so I don't draw suspicion
Thanks
Probably better off doing your own van conversion on a Sprinter or a Transit so you can stealth camp.
Motorhomes and regular campers are so obvious.
Since you live in Richmond, have you every considered a sailboat instead of an RV?
Just but a house, don't be trailer trash
Most WalMarts allow RVs to overnight. I know I’ve seen them at Brook Rd Walmart as well as Mechanicsville. There’s plenty of large lots in Richmond area you could park days in end without being bothered. But yes the one I sent is big, to my initial point you can get something far more spacious than a Westfalia and at least have water tanks and a shitter. That can life could get old quick, but I guess it also depends on your employment situation. Good luck local user
Don't get a camper van, just get a Mercedes Sprinter, or better an Iveco Daily and convert it. Iveco Daily's are fucking huge inside.
I have. The problem would be getting to work since my slip would be so far from work. I don't own a car
If you're in a humid place, get a box van that was a refrigeration van, as they have insulated walls. Huge difference. If they keep the refrigeration unit on the roof, it is aircon!
Do you not have campsites that allow Rvs? Usually they're a few bucks a night, plus showers and electricity.
Yes we have campsites
This is it /b/, ending it all on stream. Link and Manifesto:

Snowbird state like Arizona are a great places to look
Many boomers looking to unload campers and rvs that theyre too old or dead to drive back home
It's OK for a while, but RV parks are as expensive as apartments month-to-month, and you don't want to live off-grid, it's a meme. No AC isn't happening unless you live in the far north. Those VW camper vans are an overpriced meme as well. The old ones are death traps with weak, unreliable engines.
If you are determined to RV full-time, buy a small used camper on Craigslist. Bear in mind that you have a substantial vehicle to tow anything, and you have to maintain your shit, which costs money.
Every RV you will find on Craigslist has a problem, wether they admit or not. Most have water leaks and other shit that you wouldn't see right away but costs a lot to fix.
You are better off saving your money for a small plot of land and putting a manufactured home on it. Off-grid will make you a target sooner or later. Just admit that you need septic and electric, its no weakness. You aren't Conan, what are you trying to prove? You are going to willingly live like a third world savage to prove...what again?
